Grike: Have we been formally introduced?
Keenan: thats like having a whole extra 2 con over the average hd, and yeah
Keenan: i think i was supposed to be the first one to know you, or maybe tadry
Keenan: it says brian is on, but he hasnt written anyhting yet
Grike: Right, I know our characters have met, I just didn't remember if we had ever met. I think I knew everybody else in high school
Keenan: oh, no, i've never actaully met anyone in our group physically, just talked online
Grike: That works, how'd you guys meet?
Keenan: Leon suggested i help take part in a test for an adventure brian was planning for a group, so i did, and then i joined.
Keenan: it was for testing out the final battle of the lewb6 campaign, which me as hunter and others later did
Grike: Sounds cool, we just met through our school's drama department
Keenan: cool
Keenan: have you been part of the group for long? or just recently
Keenan: I'm wondering if theres actually someone newer than me in it
Grike: That would be me. I joined last Friday
Keenan: k, was this one of your first times playing dnd? or had you done it before jsut wondering, you defintely seem like you've played before
Grike: I've played in person before but it's been a while
Keenan: ah
Keenan: brian sure is taking a while, and chris too
Grike: It says he's online so he's probably just afk
Keenan: yeah
Keenan: do you play league of legends?
Grike: On and off, I've never been very good at MOBAs
Keenan: ah
Grike: I'm more of a Civ man really
Keenan: i always like civ games, always been good at them
Grike: What game length do you usually play?
Chris has connected.
Keenan: havent really played them in a while admittedly, and i hvent done too much of the civilization games, so muhc as free civ games online, as in civ genre instead of the series
Grike: Oh got it. I've only really ever played games with the Civ series
Chris: Yes, I am getting on.
Keenan: I could tell
Keenan: k
Keenan: now just waiting on brian, and maybe adam to if he got off for a bit while waiting
Boretos: I'm here.
Keenan: just brian then
Boretos: Apparently brian's gonna be late.
Boretos: the slut.
Chris: Well okay then.
Keenan: did you level up your guy chris
Chris: Not yet.
Chris: Considering my sheet is on here, that would have been hard to do.
Keenan: next ranger level is a fun one for you
Boretos: Welp. you better sneak it in before brian can say no.
Keenan: man your pic looks like a gorilla adam
Boretos: I'm built by a gorilla.
Chris: That's racist.
Boretos: like* a gorrila
Boretos: and that IS very racist.
Keenan: so, your level 2 rogue now right?
Boretos: who me?
Keenan: yeah
Keenan: you told me you were a rogue before
Keenan: a melee rogue
Boretos: How unprofessional of me.
Boretos: Well now I'm level 3.
Keenan: wia your elvel 3?
Keenan: i though you and me were just level 2
Boretos: started at 2.
Keenan: ah
Keenan: huh, i though brian said someone else besides me startedat 1, oh well
Keenan: i forget, is healing over time based on just character level or character level and con for this
Keenan: and really hope brian gets on fast
Boretos: It's level and con, I believe.
Keenan: k
Chris: Why do Rangers start with shield proficiency? >_>
Keenan: they do, thats wierd
Keenan: ooh, nice roll for health chris
Grike: Probably for the ranged specialists who can't dual wield
Boretos: I think it just comes with the martial weapon training.
Keenan: seems like we all rolled pretty well
Chris: but
Chris: but
Chris: neither training path can use shields
Chris: At least, if done conventionally. Now, take Improved Shield Bash and use your shield as your off-hand weapon...
Chris: THAT is viable. In fact, I'm kind of wishing I'd thought to do that now.
Boretos: shield spikes ftw
Chris: And if your DM is lenient enough to let you take Dual-Weapon Defence... >
Chris: dammit maptool
Chris: >:3
Chris: better
Boretos: I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take two weapon defence
Boretos: a weapon's a weapon.
DM: OK
DM: Sorry about that
Boretos: boo
DM: did I miss anything important?
Keenan: nothing can really happen without you
DM: true dat. Let me wash my hands real fast
I wish I could tell you it wasn't like that, but I don't remember this at all...
Boretos: gross
DM: Ok, so is everyone here save Wesley?
Chris: Ayup.
Boretos: wes is coming?
Chris: Ayup.
Keenan: guessing hes undren
Keenan: am i right?
DM: Alright. A couple months have passed since any of your last adventures, unless Torg wants to wait longer.
DM: Adam, you gonna make a move, or wait for circumstances to happen?
Boretos: I'm going to proceed with my plan, if that's cool.
DM: Alright then, where do you go and what do you do first?
Boretos: First, I go find Thad
DM: You find him one evening returning from the hunt.
Torg: We must speak privately.
Thad: Yes? Is something amiss?
Torg: There is danger in the forest.
Thad: The evil presence we were warned against or something new?
Torg: The same great power all fear.
Torg: Fear is for the weak.
Torg: We must harness that power and reclaim our land.
Torg: Else we be destroyed.
Thad: What are you suggesting?
Torg: I head now to the wood to champion the power. You come with me.
Thad: I'll go, but I want to know what exactly you mean
Thad: (( I'd like to roll sense motive ))
DM: I will roll in secret...
DM: your bonus?
Thad: (( no bonus ))
* You roll to the GMs: 1d20+1 => 17 + 1 = 18
DM: He seems candid, although passionate about what he says. You sense no lies.
Thad: Let us go friend, and I'll hear you out
Torg: We must be prepared to recognize what we seek when we find it.
Torg: Odran knows of magics, he may be useful.
Thad: He should come then. You trust him?
Torg: No. But he should come regardless.
Thad: Fair enough. Where is he?
Torg: Church.
DM: It's always church with that one. Ever since Ico, his master, returned, he has been making sure to keep the old chapel in tip top shape until the new church is finished.
Torg: Odran.
Odran: Ah, hello torg, and good to see you as well Thad
Torg: We travel into the wood to conquer the power there. Come with us.
Odran: Wait what?
Odran: What power?
Torg: The power that all in this town see as a threat.
Torg: It could be a great ally.
Odran: are you talking about the magic on the lake?
Torg: Yes. With it we could become strong.
Torg: The lake is just the beginning.
Odran: Shouldnt We talk to Tamourne about this, after all, that amgic can be pretty dnagerous, and what would make you think it would make us strong?
Chris is disconnected.
Torg: Tamourne does not know what is best. I have felt the power in the wood. Anyone who could control it would be unstoppable.
Odran: COuld you please explain why?
Torg: Tamourne would have us live in fear until the power comes to destroy us.
Odran: No, why those who control it would be unstoppable, what do you think this power does exactly?
Odran: what did you find out about it and how?
Torg: I do not fully understand these magics, but I have a feeling.
Torg: I've seen it control the minds of men.
Torg: I know there is more to it.
Thad: I agree that these strange magics bear investigation, the least we can do is hear Torg out, see what he wants us to see
Odran: How do you know this is not just some effect of the lake? wouldnt it be a good idea to take safeguards, cause this amy mean its even more dangerous then what we thought previously. I agree that Tamourne can be over cautious sometimes, but at the very least this seems like something we should bring up to him, especially since this si such an important matter if your right. If we talk to him, and you are convinced you are right, you might be able to convince him, and as both of you are important to the town, you will ahve even greater sway.
wesley has connected.
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan has connected.
Torg: I have spoken to Tamourne already. He is more concerned with his own safety than that of the town. Either you come with me or you prove to be as cowardly as him.
Odran pauses, and allows his thoughts to settle before he speaks...
Odran: Let me try to speak to him, I am a bit better with people than you typically are Torg, amybe I can convince him that it is a good idea, I do agree with you, but at the same time, I can't just go against my oath and go behind my superiors back, I'm sure he'll listen to logic
Torg: So be it.
Keenan: guess I go to tamourn now
DM: You knock on the palice doors?
Keenan: yeah
Wesley is having connection issues
DM: then let's wait on this part, and go back to Torg and Thad
Keenan: do we need wes to talk to tamourne?
Thad: (( I've gotta afk for like five minutes, sorry ))
DM: Tamournes is talking to him right now, actually...
Torg: You coming?
Keenan: k
Keenan: are you tlking to me torg?
Torg: (( not you ))
Thad: (( back ))
Torg: Leave him.
Thad: You don't want to wait for Odran?
Torg: No. Waste of time.
DM: do you follow him?
Thad: Alright. Let's go then.
DM: Where do you head to?
Torg: (( towards the lake ))
Wesley's connection is back, so we go back to Odran
DM: your conversation with Tamourne has been interrupted
Joeseph Tamourne: Hello?
Odran: Hello Tamourn, and I did not expect you here Master Ico, It is good to see you again
Keenan: i I did refer to them in the right way right?
DM: yes
Odran: I just wished to talk about potentially investigating the lake, in order to better understand what is occuring with it.
lco: Well, that is of little consequence Ordan. Sounds like you've had a more eventful time than i have
lco: Please explain what it is you hope to find at the lake
lco: Nerull willing that is
Odran: I don't know, i just believe that it might be a good idea to investigate it in order to see if it is indeed spreading, and to see if there is a way to stop it if so, so that we will not be threatened here, though one of our scouts seems to believe that it is some great source of power for a reason that i don't really understand. As such, he asked for me to join him, but i thought it best to discuss the matter with Tamourne, and now you as well amster since you are back.
lco: hmm...Our intelligence in this mater is lacking, but leaving it unchecked is dangerous
lco: Investigating it would be for the best
Joeseph Tamourne: Is this Torg?
Odran: Yes, I know he isnt... the wisest of us, but he seemed to feel quite strongly about it being a source of power, and even besides that I was thinking it would be a good diea to investigate the lake to see if it was spreading and if there was a way to stop it, he though seems more interested in it for a different purpose, which does worry me somewhat, since i fear it might be the lake effecting his mind.
Joeseph Tamourne: Enough. Bring him back to me.
lco: There is more than one path to enlightenment my child. If he seeks to help others than we can still use his assistance. Go, the lake must be investigated
Joeseph Tamourne: Ico, this is not the way. Torg has not been himself lately...
Odran: I will master. I'm thinking it would also be a good die to bring a other scout along by the name of Tadryn, as he is highly skilled, and would likely be useful in investigating this as well, if you think it would be a good idea for me to bring further help
lco: Bring all the assistance you see fit. Joseph, explain
Joeseph Tamourne: I don't know if it's these spirits or just youth, but Torg was talking to me about reclaiming the might of the orcs. He thinks there are relics in the woods or somthing.
Joeseph Tamourne: As much as I would love to let him go on a snipe hunt, I don't want one that gets someone killed.
lco: ....The "old" glory of the orcs led to the slaughter of the old kingdom for generations. We seek greater achievement and glory through enlightenment
lco: perhaps I should speak to this wayward child
Odran: I believe him to still be in the old church master
Joeseph Tamourne: I think that may be best. He won't listen to me...
DM: Do you go back to the church?
Keenan: if Ico does, I do
Keenan: if not, then i will try to bring him here
wesley: i guess i go to the church
DM: They are gone
Odran: This isnt very good, they must ahve left after I went to talk to tamourne, as Torg seems to think him a coward who fears only for himself
lco: Grab that scout you were talking about. We must find torg
Odran: Yes master
Keenan: I look for tadryn
DM: You don't know where he is...
DM: make gather information
* Keenan rolls: d20+1 => 3 + 1 = 4
Keenan: making another
* Keenan rolls: d20+1 => 13 + 1 = 14
Keenan: is that one enough
DM: yes. Tady is currently on patroll
Keenan: I go to where he is patrolling
Keenan: and i guess I tell Ico as well, and ask if he will come too
DM: alright, make a survival check to track the tracker
* wesley rolls: 1d20+4 => 8 + 4 = 12
Keenan: just waiting for icos awnser
Keenan: ill take that as a yes
* Keenan rolls: d20+6 => 5 + 6 = 11
DM: haven't found him after an hour
* Keenan rolls: d20+6 => 16 + 6 = 22
wesley: was about to say time is off the essence screw this but i assume that does it
DM: ok, you find his tracks, and he is clearly following someone else to the lake.
Keenan: essense screw?
Odran: I believe I ahve found his tracks sir, he seems to be following someone else on the way to the lake, maybe Thad and Torg have found him and convinced him to join them as well, though I imagne he too would have prefered to check with Tamourne before doing something risky
Keenan: so i guess we follow him, right
DM: yup
DM: alright, now to the runaway's scene
Torg and Thad are far off at the lake at this point, and Torg has grabbed a rotting log and started across to an island in the middle, a half mile away from the coast...
DM: Torg is most of the way across the lake, when the serpet seems to notice him...
Keenan: did only torg go?
wesley: someone text me when im on the scene again
Torg: (( not the smartest point to cross the lake, but I suppose this was inevitable. ))
DM: kk
Thad: (( I'm a poor swimmer ))
DM: want to be at a different angle?
Torg: (( the difference would be halved from the south east and crossing over the small island ))
Torg: (( distance* ))
Thad: (( that's a better spot ))
DM: there
Chris has connected.
DM: alright Adam, what do you do?
Torg: (( anybody know the rules for water combat? ))
Keenan: the same as regular except you can drown and get a penalty to hit
Keenan: also its 3d
DM: he speaks the truth
Keenan: though i might just be thinking of pathifnder, checking to make sure
DM: you move Adam?
Torg: (( yep. I just swim. ))
DM: roll swim
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 17 + 3 = 20
DM: ok, 30ft on a double move
DM: 15 more
Torg: (( had already moved 15 ))
DM: kk
DM: Thad?
Thad: (( I wait for Torg to cross successfully ))
Keenan: i guess me and ico are aorund 2 hours behind you
DM: the serpent swims. Roll it Adam
DM: yeah, you guys are gonna be a bit...
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 19 + 3 = 22
wesley: if it's too long i might be gone.....
DM: well this is the one big encounter of the session.
* Chris rolls: 1d20+10 => 9 + 10 = 19
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 18 + 3 = 21
Torg: (( turn. ))
Torg continues for the island and attempts to get to land before the serpant takes him.
DM: turn
Keenan: i imagine he cna just scramble onto land by now
DM: yeah, normal move action -5ft of move
Torg: (( sense motive on the beast ))
DM: ?
Torg: (( I'd like to know if it's trying to attack or just say hello. ))
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+6 => 18 + 6 = 24
Keenan: wow, you have a good sence motive
DM: It is acting like it's protecting it's territory...
DM: Thad, any actions?
Thad: (( can I use wild empathy on it? ))
Keenan: you need to be within 30ft
DM: it's too far, unless you want to just try to yell at it...
Thad: (( does it seem intelligent? ))
DM: no
* Chris rolls: 1d20+10 => 3 + 10 = 13
Thad: I'd rather not cross so long as that's there considering my -3 to swim
Keenan: woner what your rolling chris:0
DM: Alright then
DM: The serpent swims the the beach, then it slows down.
DM: Then, it starts to emerge straigt up out of the water.
DM: As do five other serpent heads.
Torg: Grrr...
DM: Then the body emerges.
DM: turn
DM: Welcome to hell adam
Keenan: that is bad
Boretos: in this session, adam dies.
Chris: I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE THE LAKE ALONE
DM: I was bound to kill you in one of these games
Chris: I TOLD YOU
Keenan: wonder if you know enough to not cut the heads
Boretos: you're supposed to cut the heads, silly.
Boretos: is this island a mountain?
DM: it has a good incline, but while it is rocky it is not a mountain by any means
Boretos: No caves or anything, then?
Thad: (( would you say that the hydra is in a distractable mood? ))
DM: not really. You are going to have to really try to get it's attention at 300 yards
Thad: (( good things hydras are slow on land then ))
Boretos: I'm gonna pull out a bag of caltrops.
Boretos: and lay them.
DM: kk
Boretos: in front of me. Im not that stupid.
DM: that turn?
Boretos: turn
DM: alright, Chris roll spot
DM: it runs at you
DM: that's beast's turn
DM: everyone else's turn
* Chris rolls: 1d20+10 => 13 + 10 = 23
Keenan: whats that roll for?
DM: spot, and you totally see it emerge at this point.
Boretos: 5 ft step and draw axe
DM: your hunch was right. Torg is, in fact, a dumbass...
Chris is disconnected.
Boretos: I'm a genius. just you wait.
Boretos: If I kill this thing, I deserve a level.
Chris has connected.
DM: I will give you more than any level if you solo this without pulling any BS
Thad: (shouting) Torg! Run you fool!
DM: it's gonna jump the altrops
Boretos: wat.
* DM rolls: 1d20+6 => 3 + 6 = 9
Boretos: with 2 intelligence?
DM: it can recognise spikes
Keenan: i think most things are smart enough to avoid spikes
DM: but it actually fails...
Boretos: they are baby sized
Boretos: hidden in grass
Boretos: so it lands on them?
Chris: taking like 1d4 whole damage
DM: it just charges. I accept that it doesn't see them
DM: but it has a 50% chance of steping right over them
DM: roll that then the attack bonus
Boretos: where are you pulling 50% from?
DM: it has four feet over 9 squares, the caltrops take up one. I am assuming each foot steps in two squares, but some repeat.
Boretos: ok
DM: All in all, that is about 6 total squares stepped in
Boretos: so 2/3?
DM: fine
Boretos: and how many times did he just step on them trying to charge me?
DM: you get two tries, because I am feeling nice. Enjoy trying to stop this thing, because you know it's very likely to floor you even if you slow it.
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 1 + 2 = 3
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 20 + 2 = 22
Boretos: yis
DM: alright, it loses the charge, and now has slowed speed. Yall's turn
Boretos: how many heads are we dealing with here?
DM: 6
DM: best of luck Adam
Keenan: maybe you should roll a knowledge check to know how screwed you are
Boretos: lol bye
DM: maybe you should act before I forfit your turn...
Grike: He can outswim it now
He turns and runs.
DM: that provokes
Boretos: ok
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 20 + 8 = 28
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 18 + 8 = 26
DM: crit?
Keenan: thats bad
* DM rolls: 2d10+6 => 3 + 6 = 9
DM: alright, now for the other heads...
Keenan: thats lucky
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 14 + 8 = 22
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 1 + 8 = 9
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 15 + 8 = 23
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 6 + 8 = 14
* DM rolls: 1d20+8 => 8 + 8 = 16
Keenan: wait, does each head get a aoo?
Boretos: no
DM: combat reflexes
Boretos: wat
Keenan: oh
DM: special ability
DM: how many more hits is that?
Boretos: 3
* DM rolls: 3d10+9 => 17 + 9 = 26
Grike: I wouldn't think that each head gets an attack since they're not separate monsters
DM: It's a special ability
Boretos: combat reflexes sucks, matt
Keenan: its a ability of hydras
DM: that's 35 damage. Are you getting back up?
Chris: They've got heads, and they know how to use them.
Boretos: It's not a fighter, it can't stop me.
DM: ok, never mind. I was asking if you are dead.
Boretos: naw, I'm holding on.
Keenan: how low are you just wondering?
DM: alright, that was your turn, right?
Boretos: I'm calculating that right now. and yes
Keenan: becasue i would think you wouldnt ahve more helath then our barbarian ranger
Keenan: nless your a barbarian
Keenan: which you have a good chance to be
DM: The hydra is limping, but still determined to drive you off...
DM: it makes a run action
DM: your turn
Grike: Its speed is halved from the caltrops
Keenan: its normal run speed would be 80
DM: that's why it ran 40. It ain't a fast beast.
Grike: The DMG hydras? Their normal speed is 20 isn't it?
DM: do the math, buddy
DM: it runs this way this time
Boretos: can I spot during this double move?
DM: srue
DM: what are you looking for?
Boretos: weapons, hidey holes, magical healing water, forcefields, amulets of power.. .that sort of thing.
DM: roll it
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+6 => 12 + 6 = 18
DM: Those brown rocks have a gap to hide under if you are willing to shove a few around, but this island seems so... empty...
Boretos: Does the gap seem big enough for a hydra head to fit through?
DM: not quite
Boretos: or light enough for the hydra to move?
Boretos: the rocks
DM: possible
Boretos: oh, I'm on the small one.
Boretos: no wonder.
Boretos: Well, I think I've moved already, so that's turn.
DM: it runs back into the water for some reason
Boretos: that's the only way it'll catch me.
Boretos: is my wager
DM: alright, your move
More running along the small island.
Boretos: turn
DM: it follows, keeping it's 12 eyes on you
DM: turn
Boretos: turn
DM: turn
Torg dives into the water between the small islands, only a bow show apart.
DM: roll swim
DM: and only 15 feet
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 3 + 3 = 6
DM: you are currently beginning to drown
DM: move to 10ft out from shore
Keenan: i thought he needed a 5 or less for that?
Boretos: I thought that meant I just didn't swim
Keenan: isnt this calm water
DM: it is, but 6 is failing by 4 or more
Keenan: oops, thought it was more then 4
Keenan: so hes underwater now
Boretos: Not even worried.
DM: roll again
Boretos: I'm going to stay under water, in fact.
DM: and roll listen
DM: or not
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 7 + 3 = 10
DM: so you just sit on the bottom?
Boretos: no, I keep swimming.
Boretos: Just keeping my head out of sight of the hydra
Boretos: being all sneaky sneaky
He moves further twards the larger island.
DM: turn
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 12 + 3 = 15
Boretos: turn
DM: turn
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 16 + 3 = 19
Boretos: turn
DM: turn
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 5 + 3 = 8
Boretos: turn
DM: turn
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+3 => 15 + 3 = 18
Boretos: turn
DM: turn
Thad: (( I make my way around the lake to meet him ))
Thad: (( or start to ))
Boretos: turn
Keenan: thatll take a while
Torg reaches the big island before the hydra. It is a mess of gravel and larger stones, with a strange pond in the center. It seems like water, but the color is...off...
DM: alright. You can start moving your token 120 per round each round
DM: I will trust you to count it out right
DM: turn
Boretos: can I spot while running?
DM: no
Boretos: okay double move and spot
Boretos: I've got my eyes on that pond areay
DM: roll it
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+6 => 16 + 6 = 22
DM: you see a large pillar, which arches out to the north and south. Out of it are two flows of water, one a dark purple, and one a light green.
Grike: My spped is 40 so I should be able to do 160 per round right?
Keenan: yeah
DM: if you have light armor
DM: and only for ten turns before you take a ten turn break
DM: it matters at this distance
Keenan: unless you make con checks to go longer
DM: also, is that turn?
Boretos: yes
DM: Alright. The hydra looks you dead in the eye, and suddenly shakes it's wounded foot.
DM: It bounds at you with incredible speed
Boretos: oh boy
DM: it has an all too familiar fire in it's eyes...
DM: turn
Boretos: but not familiar enough to be specific...
Boretos: turn
DM: Also, at some point in the future Tady and Ogran meet up in the forrest
DM: turn
Both Torg and the hydra are running faster than the rules normally allow.
Keenan: woah, thast fast,hows it doing that?
DM: you two may RP it now
Boretos: magic
Boretos: oooOOOOooo
Keenan: i guess we hould tell wes to come back then
Boretos: turn
Boretos: The left one is the light green water, right?
Meanwhile, at the lake's edge...
Odran: woo, finally caught up with you tadryn, whats going on here, were you following torg and thad?
Tadryn: Yes, and they're in trouble. We need to get help. Tamourne, probably. The strongest people we've got.
lco: Worry not my child
lco: We will take control of this situation
Now back to Torg!
Boretos: Do I have time to splash some of this water in my mouth?
DM: you may stick your face in should you wish.
Boretos: totally will
DM: You feel the most intense joy of your life, as if everything in your life was mearly a lead up to this. You are filled with life, purpose....
DM: Pick a physical bonus, and I will grant it in some form or another.
DM: you also get a +2 to all physicals.
Boretos: CON
Keenan: nice
DM: you want more con?
Boretos: I'm being chased by a hydra. You can't go wrong with con
Keenan: maybe you could get mroe peed?
Keenan: he said any phyiscal bonus
Keenan: or a swim speed
Boretos: oooh. didn't know what he meant by physical bonus
Keenan: i think thats what he meant
DM: Get creative, my boy.
Keenan: is it?
Keenan: or fly
DM: yeah, no
Boretos: awww...
Keenan: ok, not that
Boretos: fast healing?
DM: you want to pick that?
Keenan: you cant run fromt he hydra forever on this island, unless its strong fast healing, ti likey sincet a good idea
Keenan: swim speed mgiht be best to escape
Boretos: mmm... cut to the other guys. I'll think for a sec.
Tadryn: Long story short, giant many-headed snake wants to eat Torg and Thad. Can't believe those fools went back here knowing the dangers.
lco: how did they "plan" to slay the beast
Odran: With how obsessed torg seemed i can believe it,, and I doubt they had any plan sir
Tadryn: I'm not sure they even knew there was a beast.
lco: you don't go into a fight you think you can't win.
lco: we need to follow them out there
lco: perhaps we can talk some sense in them
lco: ....and stop them if need be
lco: from whatever they plan
Keenan: i guess we continue on to the lake then
DM: Alright Adam, moment of truth...
DM: I have no qualms with leveling you if it comes down to it
Boretos: yep
Keenan: so, what did you choose?
DM: you are going with that one?
Boretos: no
Boretos: I'll go with double speed.
DM: +10ft buddy
Boretos:
That is a frowny face, in case it doesn't load...
DM: and it's the hydra's turn...
DM: it runs. Your move.
Boretos: it doesn't get aoo this round, then right?
DM: Run doesn't prevent AoO, bud.
DM: if only you were a rogue, huh?
Boretos: oh yeah
Keenan: what class are you:9
Keenan:
Boretos: TUMBLE
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+7 => 19 + 7 = 26
Chris: go for it!
DM: if you fail...
Chris: pure luck!
DM: alright, half of 40 ft move...
Boretos: turn
Boretos: I should have gone with extra long arms.
Keenan: cant you also d a normal move action with the tumble?
DM: the pillar blocks it, so that's as far as it goes.
DM: he did
Boretos: run time
Keenan: oh, oops
Keenan: you can run 160 now
DM: it just stands back and roars.
DM: and it lets you go
DM: Alright, what is everyone else doing?
Keenan: still hustling over here i imagne
Grike: Still trying to meet Torg wherever he reaches the shore of the lake
DM: which side do you go out Torg?
Boretos: the north
DM: make a spot check to see him thad
* Grike rolls: d20+6 => 9 + 6 = 15
DM: nope. You lose track of him. Do you search for your buddy when you reach the other side Torg?
Boretos: yeah.
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+1 => 12 + 1 = 13
DM: Everyone make opposed survival checks. If Torg or Thad rolls highest, they find each other first, otherwise, the others find That first.
DM: Thad*
* Keenan rolls: d20+6 => 7 + 6 = 13
* Grike rolls: d20+6 => 11 + 6 = 17
DM: Thad has current highest roll
* wesley rolls: 1d20+4 => 10 + 4 = 14
* Chris rolls: 1d20+10 => 3 + 10 = 13
Chris: actually, +8
Chris: so 11
Chris: well crap
DM: ok then, you two find each other first.
Torg: A great power indeed.
Thad: No kidding. Still walking I see. We're going to get a fairly stern scolding I would imagine
Torg: I fear them not.
Torg: I gained the power. It was worth the risk.
Thad: I wouldn't think so. If you feel up to it we should make our way back
Torg: Yes.
DM: do you head right back to the village?
Torg: (( I do. ))
Thad: (( yep ))
DM: Then I think this is a good mark for session unless Wesley has more time
wesley: imma be leaving any minute....sorry
Keenan: no worries, it happens
DM: sorry about all the party splits. I thought that most if not all of you would fight that hydra...
Keenan: torgs character isnt too patient as we can see:0
Keenan: ioops, meant
Boretos: nobody puts baby in the corner.
wesley is disconnected.
Keenan: well i guess thats the session then, I wonder if there'll be any penalty to drinking that water
DM: find out next time on Goblin campaign IV!
Keenan: so are we considering the next session a completely different campaign?
DM: no
Keenan: oh, this is number 4
DM: this is the fourth in this setting
Keenan: can you tell me what adams class is
Keenan: i've been wondering for a while
Boretos: secrets secrets
Keenan: damn you
Keenan: im guessing barbarian since you had the health to survive all that damage at level 3
Keenan: nd that survivng 35 is alot even fro a level 3 barbarian
Boretos: :}
Grike: Alright I've gotta go, see you fine fellows next week
Keenan: see you guys later then i guess
Boretos: later!
Chris: Well. See you!
Keenan is disconnected.
Grike is disconnected.
DM: don't forget to save, and see you next Friday
DM is disconnected.
