Keenan has connected.
Keenan:
so i guess were waiting on adam and wes
Brian:
Adam ain't in this one
Keenan:
wonder what hes doing with his guy
Keenan:
know if hell be on soon?
Brian:
unlikely. There was a misinformation.
Keenan:
oh really, that sucks, what was the
miscommunication?
Brian:
I said "hmm" instead of "well let's
still play at 8"
Brian:
he can't stay long
Keenan:
around how long is not too long, adn
will he get on soon cause i imagine we'll have to rush in that case
wesley has connected.
Brian:
Still need time to get your char sheet
up to date?
Brian:
I'm still not finding the barb
changes, so I say stick to srd
Keenan:
i got yhe changes i think
Keenan:
only change at this level is that when
you rage, if you crit, the mulitplier is one higher
wesley:
map is still loading for me
Brian:
looks like the ability to make massive
maps aint free...
wesley:
i don't have any cool token so drop me
one brian
Keenan:
anyway, so you got any good tokens for
him brina?
Keenan:
ah, good old hero
Brian:
not really, but I got Hunter's token
Prof Oak:
What was your name again?
wesley:
my character is Devdan Vaxidor named
wesley:
and i need a better token than hero
man. i couldn've dropped that
Brian:
I recantly had my OS die. I'm short on
good tokens...
Brian:
militia is already my goto peasant
Brian:
feel free to google for stuff at some
point...
wesley:
kk but this comp dont have token tool
Brian:
get it or send the image to me. Both
are super easy...
Brian:
So we start with Devdan, who at the
start of this story has been granted an offer to join the elite
order of the blood as a new squire.
Brian:
Your instructions were to come to the
barracks to the new organization, and speak with them for more
details.
Brian:
Your token is at the front of the
barracks now.
wesley:
ummm....which one is the barracks?\
Keenan:
the bunch of buoldings to your right
Brian:
The whole structure is the home of the
order
Keenan:
specifically the main baracks room i
think is the one to the top right, i think
wesley:
there are multiple structures
wesley:
just let the dm explain
wesley:
barracks can be a singular building
jack ass
Brian:
which is why I gave you helpful hints
Devdan Vaxidor:
GREETINGS ABANDONED BUILDING
Devdan Vaxidor:
YOUR CHAMPION HAS ARRIVED
Older Knight:
I'm not THAT old...
Older Knight:
Your name?
Devdan Vaxidor:
...
Devdan Vaxidor:
SURELY
Devdan Vaxidor:
hm hmmmm
Devdan Vaxidor:
surely you've heard of me
Devdan Vaxidor:
i'm devdan vaxidor
Devdan Vaxidor:
OF THE VAXIDORS
Squire:
Well now I've heard of you!
Older Knight:
Ahh, you are the Vaxidor boy. I see
they did provide a son after all...
Devdan Vaxidor:
They provided a MAN
Devdan Vaxidor:
not that they appreciate that....
Brian:
He gives a hearty laugh.
Older Knight:
If men were made by pronouncement, the
trees would be made of the manliest of men every spring.
Older Knight:
Come. I will speak to you and the
other new recruit in the main chamber.
Brian:
He takes you to a large feasting hall,
lined with swords and shields. It's all very new looking, but
still gives the impression of an anchient order.
Older Knight:
You were both raised to be knights,
but you are not here to do that.
Older Knight:
You have been chosen for the Order of
Blood, the elite of Corelon Lorathen.
wesley:
have i heard of this order?
Brian:
Some. From what you understand, they
are very new.
Brian:
But very presigious
Older Knight:
We do not know why, but he has
requested an army be built to defeat the foes that will beset us
all in the future. If you wish to live this life, you must be
willing to lay all aside: family, pleasure, and perhaps even the
king himself.
Older Knight:
Remember it is the first duty of the
elves to protect the lesser races.
Devdan Vaxidor:
of course
Devdan Vaxidor:
where do you require my strength
Older Knight:
It will take more than strength, but
strength will be your first test.
Older Knight:
You two will march west to the world's
edge mountains, where you will bring back the hide of the
four-eared beast.
Older Knight:
Find each other here in a fortnight
and set out together. You will need the support.
Squire:
Whatever's out there, we can take it.
Older Knight:
Any more questions?
Devdan Vaxidor:
none
Devdan Vaxidor:
let me face this beast that i might
face a more worthy task
Older Knight:
Bold, but watch your huberis.
Older Knight:
You will not only need to be the
mightiest elf, but the wisest and purest.
Older Knight:
Now go. Spend what may be your final
times with your families and pray for our god's blessing.
Keenan:
well thats ominous
Brian:
is there anything in particular you do
in the next couple nights?
wesley:
get liquor from my families stash.
that i might have the proper feast to celebrate my victory
Brian:
Your family tends to not have the best
booze, although your old friend Soveliss has some very fine wine
from the vinyards his family owns...
wesley:
ugh....fine...the wine
Brian:
That's the spirit!
Brian:
You arrive at the front door...
Devdan Vaxidor:
soveliss
Devdan Vaxidor:
i've come to get some of juice our
kind insists on calling alcohol
Brian:
Out of curiosity, what time of day or
night is it?
Soveliss Sindel:
Why hello Devdan? whats the occasion?
Devdan Vaxidor:
a great mission from a powerful order
Devdan Vaxidor:
i need to prepare a proper feast for
when i've completed my task
Soveliss Sindel:
Ah, and for that you seek my wine,
well, I suppose i can spare some, for a friend. Tell me, what is
your mission?
Soveliss Sindel:
and what order?
Devdan Vaxidor:
i'm to slay a great beast for the
order of blood
Soveliss Sindel:
Ah, how interesting, the order of
blood did you say, it seems like you are going up in the world my
friend.
Soveliss Sindel:
Is thier anything i could do to aid
you? and what beast is it that you must slay?
You whisper to wesley: btw
You whisper to wesley: you are
not required to take him along
Brian:
so don't feel obligated if it's
against character.
Devdan Vaxidor:
soveliss, i won't tell you to not join
me, but this will be dangerous
Devdan Vaxidor:
a great 4 eared beast
Devdan Vaxidor:
that's the description i got
Devdan Vaxidor:
but, the world seems to look down on
an elf that values strength. so i won't say no to a great companion
Devdan Vaxidor:
so come my friend, let us face the
beast together if you have the might
Soveliss Sindel:
Ah, a strong creature indeed, but i
believe i have some tools that could aid in the fight against it,
and I'm not particularily busy for the next while, so i think I'll
do you a favor and join you Devdan.
Soveliss Sindel:
Though I'll be trusting you to hold
the front line, as you well know, I've never had the hardiest body.
Brian:
So do you guys just hang around for
the rest of the fortnight?
Keenan:
that and strategize as well, with the
squire whose also coming
Keenan:
(how does your character feel about
using poison wes?)
Brian:
Well nobody caught where he lives, so
you can't exactly track him down...
wesley:
he's a knight, not a paladin
Keenan:
well then I suppose that i tell wes
that the beast is attracted to wounded targetsl so acting injured
will likely bring it too us, and that i ahve some poison that will
help us take it out.
Keenan:
and ill tell the squire the same once
we meet up
wesley:
ummm...if its attracted to injured
things that probably means blood
Keenan:
A tiny cut wont hurt you or the squire
much
wesley:
ok i draw the line there
Keenan:
so just moaning alot then
Keenan:
while laying on the ground
Keenan:
that was not inteneded to seem sexual
Brian:
just tell me when yer done plannin and
wait to meet the other guy
Keenan:
I guess we'll just continue planning
once we meet the other guy
Brian:
So the day arrives, and the squire is
dressed up in breastplate, readily waiting for the moment of truth.
Devdan Vaxidor:
COME SQUIRE
Devdan Vaxidor:
WE RIDe
Soveliss Sindel:
Ah so your the other man who will be
part of this quest,
Soveliss Sindel:
as we ride, I suggest we plan a bit
for the upcoming fight
Squire:
Uhh okay, but I don't have a horse...
wesley:
do i have a horse?
Soveliss Sindel:
I suggest that one of us pretends to
be wounded in order to attract the beast, as it mainly goes for
wounded targets, while the others lay in wait to kill it, to aid
in that, i have some poison to help tkae down the beast
Brian:
no, generally you don't get a horse
until you become a knight.
Keenan:
huh, guess no horse then
wesley:
yeah but i'm rich
Brian:
Your dad probably has some horses...
Brian:
Keenan you have a horse if you bought
one
Brian:
I was talking to wes
wesley:
well i'm hoofing it
wesley:
i'm not asking my dad for help
Keenan:
are we where the beast typically is
now?
Brian:
No, it's a bit further west up to the
world's edge mountains.
Brian:
But here is where important dialouge
happens...
Squire 1:
So sir, how long have you been in the
Order?
Keenan is disconnected.
wesley is disconnected.
wesley has connected.
wesley:
that was weird...
Keenan has connected.
Squire 1:
So sir, how long have you been in the
Order?
Devdan Vaxidor:
just recruited
Keenan:
i left off when you said important
dialogue happens
Devdan Vaxidor:
so.....16 hours
Keenan:
its been a fortnight since you were
given the message
Squire 1:
Well we aren't members yet.
Squire 1:
I meant you, sir *looks at Soveless*
Devdan Vaxidor:
yeah sovelliss
Devdan Vaxidor:
anyways, what's your story squire?
Soveliss Sindel:
oh me, I'm no member of the order
Squire 1:
I'm afraid I don't really have-
Squire 1:
what?
Soveliss Sindel:
just a friend of Devdan's
Squire 1:
So then why are you coming along?
Soveliss Sindel:
to help, I'm often skilled at many
things, and as long as im not in the front lines i should be of
use here
Squire 1:
Doesn't that seem...dishonorable?
Devdan Vaxidor:
honor?
Soveliss Sindel:
nonsence, if something saves lives and
helps people, surely its for the greater good, and a good action
Devdan Vaxidor:
i'm here to prove my strength
Devdan Vaxidor:
strength is the greatest path to
honor. as long as it used to defend the weak
Brian:
You see concern in his eyes, but he
does not respond.
Devdan Vaxidor:
what is your problem soldier?
Squire 1:
A knight...must always fight with
chivalry. And this is our test.
Devdan Vaxidor:
chivalry doesn't say anything about
not allowing a friend to help
Devdan Vaxidor:
or else you wouldn't be here
Devdan Vaxidor:
SQUIRE
Devdan Vaxidor:
do not quote code at me
Squire 1:
I'm... I'm sorry.
Keenan:
i love how big of a arrogant dick you
are
Devdan Vaxidor:
i may value strength, but know that
includes mental strength
wesley:
hey i'm not wrong. you helping isn't
non chivalrous unless i was specifically called out in a one on
one duel. which a beast really can't do
Soveliss Sindel:
now now, lets not be too harsh on him,
we all have our moral codes, lets just do what we can to work
together so that all get the most beneficial result.
Brian:
Alright, so anything more before you
finish the march to the mountain?
Keenan:
i know, jsut the way you said it was
arrogant and dickish
wesley:
does our order have a codex?
Brian:
Not yet, although some writings on it
you have read.
Brian:
They don't have a specific code yet as
far as you can tell. It's just all so new...
Brian:
Either way, you hike to the far west,
past the manor that has served as the royal retreat since the days
of old king Henric.
wesley:
time to write the book on this order
just like i wrote the book on nerule
wesley:
HEEEYYYY ISNT THIS WHERE THE FIRST
CAMPAIGN STARTED????
Brian:
actually, you go a little further to
where I drew the rocks
Brian:
This is where the first campaign's
climax happened
Brian:
it started in the capital
Brian:
Ok, you are now in beast territory.
Unleash your plan...
wesley:
i guess we play dead
Keenan:
first we look for any sign of its
tracks, once we find them we have wes or the squire act injured
while hidng behidn some rocks
Brian:
make some survival checks unless you
want to just play dead
Keenan:
cant you use search checks to find a
track, just cant acutally use it to track the thing
* wesley rolls: 1d20+4 => 8 + 4 = 12
wesley:
that's what i get for putting ranks in
survival
Keenan:
with just survival i get
* Keenan rolls: d20+1 => 19 + 1 = 20
Brian:
you find what look to be tracks.
Brian:
Also, make a spot check.
* Keenan rolls: d20+7 => 1 + 7 = 8
* wesley rolls: 1d20+2 => 8 + 2 = 10
Keenan:
glad there are no critical skill
failures
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 16 + 1 = 17
Keenan:
would a listen be involved as well?
Brian:
sure, but roll damn well
* Keenan rolls: d20+7 => 20 + 7 = 27
* wesley rolls: 1d20+8 => 8 + 8 = 16
Brian:
kk. You somehow hear a bird swooshing
through the sky.
Brian:
You look up and see it's the
silver-winged eagle, the patron animal of Lorathien.
Brian:
the eagle is just circling you guys
Keenan:
i assume thats a pretty damn good omen
in our culture
Devdan Vaxidor:
a sign
Devdan Vaxidor:
but of ill or good i do not know
Squire:
They say the eagles serve as the eyes
of gods.
Brian:
either way, the tracks lead west
Devdan Vaxidor:
well i guess the great corellian loral
herself watches us
Devdan Vaxidor:
let us continue
Keenan:
guess we head that way, if we notice
the tracks getting alot fresher, then i suggest we start sneaking
Brian:
make survival checks to track
further...
* Keenan rolls: d20+1 => 18 + 1 = 19
* wesley rolls: 1d20+6 => 13 + 6 = 19
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 17 + 1 = 18
Brian:
on this rocky ground, it's enough that
you start to get confused about where the tracks are going
Brian:
you get to here before you start to
disagree.
Devdan Vaxidor:
South good sirs
Devdan Vaxidor:
the tracks clearly lead south
Brian:
make listen checks
Soveliss Sindel:
I believe they seem to head west, what
do you think squire?
* Keenan rolls: d20+7 => 4 + 7 = 11
* Brian rolls: 1d20+3 => 3 + 3 = 6
* wesley rolls: 1d20+8 => 17 + 8 = 25
* Brian rolls: 1d20+4 => 15 + 4 = 19
Brian:
19 was the check to beat.
* Keenan rolls: d20+5 => 9 + 5 = 14
Brian:
*roll init if you heard it coming
Keenan:
was hoping he would immediately tell us
* Brian rolls: 1d20+2 => 15 + 2 = 17
Brian:
not enough time. It's taking the
suprise round now
* wesley rolls: 1d20+4 => 13 + 4 = 17
* Brian rolls: 1d20 => 8
* wesley rolls: 1d20 => 3
Devdan Vaxidor:
GET BACK
Brian:
Right at the rogue.
* Brian rolls: 1d20+11 => 15 + 11 = 26
* Brian rolls: 1d8+10 => 3 + 10 = 13
Keenan:
well there goes alot of my health
wesley:
maybe i wont rage....
Brian:
I bites the side of your torso, taking
a large section out...
Soveliss Sindel:
FUCK, well that didnt go as planned
Devdan Vaxidor:
I HATE WIIIIIIIIINE AND CHEEEEEEESE
Keenan:
really, thats your rage cry
* wesley rolls: 1d20+7 => 17 + 7 = 24
wesley:
i hate my elfen culture
Brian:
with this character, it almost works
and isn't stupid
* wesley rolls: 2d6+8 => 4 + 8 = 12
wesley:
omg...we might be screwed
Brian:
Ok, remaining folks roll init
* Brian rolls: 1d20+3 => 19 + 3 = 22
Devdan Vaxidor:
SQUIRE
Devdan Vaxidor:
FLANK IT
* Keenan rolls: d20+5 => 14 + 5 = 19
Keenan:
i forget, can you count as flanking
while ranged, cuase i dont want to be within this things range
wesley:
the line has to work obviously
Brian:
I don't think that counts as flanking
to Keenan, but it's the best he can do
* Brian rolls: 1d20+4 => 11 + 4 = 15
* Brian rolls: 1d8+2 => 6 + 2 = 8
Keenan:
i tumble backwards
* Keenan rolls: d20+13 => 11 + 13 = 24
Keenan:
this is out of range right, it
doesntseem to have reach?
Devdan Vaxidor:
FIRE SOVELISS
Keenan:
then with my other action i throw a
dart at it
Devdan Vaxidor:
ELSE WE WONT BE ABLE TO GET WASTED
Keenan:
oh yeha, bow would be good here, use
that isntead
* Keenan rolls: d20+9 => 2 + 9 = 11
Keenan:
atleast not crit fail
Brian:
got removed from rules
Devdan Vaxidor:
AIM IN FRONT OF THE BEAST NOT AT IT.
YOU MUST LEAD THE SHOT
Brian:
thanks to Goblin III
Soveliss Sindel:
Im sorry, but i seem to be a bit woozy
from having a chunk being taken out of me
Devdan Vaxidor:
STRENGTH CAN BE AN ELFEN VIRTURE
* wesley rolls: 1d20+7 => 17 + 7 = 24
wesley:
dude i need expanded crit range. i'd
be KILLING IT
* wesley rolls: 2d6+8 => 11 + 8 = 19
Devdan Vaxidor:
MOUNTAINS WILL FALL BEFORE MY BLADE
Brian:
It withdraws thru squire mcsquireface
* Brian rolls: 1d20+5 => 7 + 5 = 12
wes has connected.
wesley is disconnected.
wesley is disconnected.
Brian:
Ok, so the beast withdrew
Brian:
Then, the Eagle takes a turn.
Keenan:
so squires turn now
* Brian rolls: 1d20++6 => 5 + 6 = 11
Brian:
it pecks at Wesley's head
wes:
does it attack me or just approach?
Brian:
I assume 11 doesn't hit?
Brian:
The squire runs after the beast
wes:
i can't move my screen. is there a
method bsides right clicking?
Brian:
zooming out and back in can do it
Devdan Vaxidor:
take the shot soveliss, finish the
beast
Keenan:
hope i roll better
* Keenan rolls: d20+7 => 14 + 7 = 21
Devdan Vaxidor:
see, lead the shot
* Keenan rolls: d8+1 => 6 + 1 = 7
Keenan:
plus whatever the poison does
Devdan Vaxidor:
die foul monster
Brian:
The eagle takes another peck
* Brian rolls: 1d20+6 => 5 + 6 = 11
wes:
i get an attack first
wes:
i didn't attack that round
Brian:
ohh, you attack on your turn
* wes rolls: 1d2-+7 => 1 - 7 = -6
* wes rolls: 1d20+7 => 16 + 7 = 23
* wes rolls: 2d6+8 => 2 + 8 = 10
wes:
SO MANY LOW DAMAGE ROLLS
Devdan Vaxidor:
DUMB BIRD
Brian:
sorry you didn't extra kill it...
Brian:
ok, now what do you do?
Soveliss Sindel:
Now that that damn beast is dead, how
about you skin it Devdan, you've always been best at stuff like
that
Brian:
The squire walks to the bird and takes
it.
Devdan Vaxidor:
squire, what's with the interest in
the bird
wes:
i do skin the beast btw
Squire:
This creature is sacred...
Devdan Vaxidor:
then give it first aid
Brian:
cool, add a large four-eared skin to
your inventory
Devdan Vaxidor:
it attacked me
wes:
the bird took 10 damage
wes:
it literally can't be dead
Brian:
ohh right. Roll it.
* wes rolls: 1d20+2 => 13 + 2 = 15
Brian:
-4 cause it's a bird
* Brian rolls: 1d10 => 3
wes:
why doesn't the squire help
* Brian rolls: 1d20+2 => 11 + 2 = 13
* wes rolls: 1d20+4 => 2 + 4 = 6
Soveliss Sindel:
it gets to roll a d10
* Brian rolls: 1d10 => 4
Keenan:
that would be an odd thing for
soveliss to say
Brian:
ok, now the squire take the dead bird
Brian:
Anything else you guys do before you
head home?
Brian:
make a cursing check
* wes rolls: 1d20+2 => 4 + 2 = 6
Keenan:
dont think i would be here, i would
proibably just head home
Brian:
When you return, the knight you first
spoke to is speaking to a priestess of Loratheon
Devdan Vaxidor:
thanks for the assistance soveliss
Keenan:
now im glad i wont be there
Devdan Vaxidor:
i return with the beast
Devdan Vaxidor:
slewn as expected
Older Knight:
That is good to hear at a time like
this.
Devdan Vaxidor:
what do you mean?
Devdan Vaxidor:
has something happened?
Priestess:
A silver-winged eagle was slain a few
days ago. Lorathien is enraged.
Keenan:
yep, really glad im not there
wes:
not a silver winged eagle
Brian:
No I'm pretty sure I said
silver-winged...
Keenan:
you said silver winged when it
circled, when it attacked you just said eagle, i assumed said
eagle was the same one
wes:
i never saw it cause i dropped
wes:
you said eagle silver winged flew over
head. then said an eagle attacked
wes:
not THE SILVER WINGED EAGLE
Brian:
Well, would your character really have
noticed in the fight?
wes:
hell yes. a 14 int and 14 wis
character would take time to not swing at something that would
piss off his team
wes:
i accept these consequences but man
don't say eagle when you mean plot eagle
Older Knight:
She says there are those in her number
who don't truely hold the faith.
Devdan Vaxidor:
faith is a 5 letter word
Priestess:
I'm sorry?
Devdan Vaxidor:
faith alone accomplishes nothing. it
is a 5 letter words. deeds show a god that you are virtuous
Devdan Vaxidor:
ignore that deeds is also a 5 letter
word
Squire:
Sir, this man killed the eagle!
Devdan Vaxidor:
SIR, I CHALLANGE YOU TO A DUEL OF HONOR
Devdan Vaxidor:
YOU SAW THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND STILL
THROW ME TO THE WOLVES
Squire:
I accept!
wes:
why does squires token and speaking
token look different....
wes:
THIS FILLS ME WITH RAAAAAGE
Brian:
there was another squire in the other
session
Brian:
it links to that token
wes:
is anyone going to step in or am i
about to stomp a bitch
Brian:
Do you hesitate, or just draw and
swing?
wes:
i draw, but i toy with him, feinting
swings and the liek
wes:
i saw him on the mission
wes:
i know i'm the superior fighter
Older Knight:
ENOUGH!
Older Knight:
YOU KNOW NOTHING OF HONOR!
Devdan Vaxidor:
This is a duel of honor
Devdan Vaxidor:
i'm afraid i can't stop until finished
Brian:
The squire attempts to back away. Do
you take your AoO?
Devdan Vaxidor:
else i would bring dishonor to my
family
* wes rolls: 1d20+1 => 16 + 1 = 17
* wes rolls: 2d6+5 => 8 + 5 = 13
wes:
i think i drop him unconcious like
Brian:
that misses actually, as he had time
to get the shield up for AC 19
wes:
I COULD HAVE KILLED HIM
wes:
if i raged he'd be down
Brian:
The old knight draws.
wes:
I WILL MAKE HIM MY RIVAL
Older Knight:
Get out!
Devdan Vaxidor:
FINE
Older Knight:
Out of my barracks, and out of this
order!
Devdan Vaxidor:
I WILL MAKE A SUPERIOR ORDER OF KNIGHTS
Devdan Vaxidor:
ONE THAT WILL ACKNOWLEDGE TRUE HONOR
Brian:
and yeah, I am totally naming this guy
wes:
i leave and prepare to order black
jack and hookers
wes:
actually, forget the hookers
Brian:
Do you want to keep going or is it
getting too late for ya?
Keenan:
god i love that line
wes:
cause i need an objective
wes:
i go to the local elf god temple
wes:
the elf god i refuse to say the name
of anymore
Brian:
pick yer favorite building at least a
block away
Brian:
ok... It's some small shrine. Nobody
else is here.
wes:
i go to a bigger temple....
Devdan Vaxidor:
Father
Cleric:
Are you alright?
Devdan Vaxidor:
I require words
Devdan Vaxidor:
in private
Cleric:
Well sermon is about to start, but
give me one moment.
Cleric:
Children, I'm sorry, but a man has
come to me in great need. Please take a moment to reflect on your
friends who count on you in times of need...or something
Cleric:
follow me lad...
Devdan Vaxidor:
(whisper) tell me father, what would
it mean to you if an elf was attacked by a silver winged eagle
Cleric:
great disfavor. Those creatures do not
naturally attack elves, or even the lessor races.
Devdan Vaxidor:
so it would mean that the god of elves
consider the elf attacked unelven?
Devdan Vaxidor:
what would that even mean
Devdan Vaxidor:
to be seen as not an elf in the eyes
of a god
Keenan:
i see a torg.2 coming on
wes:
yeah but i'm torging against hitler
Cleric:
Well, I don't think you can just
be...unelfed like that.
wes:
that makes me more like the desert fox
Devdan Vaxidor:
i'm speaking in more metaphysical terms
Cleric:
If you were not meant to do elven
things, she would have made you something else.
Devdan Vaxidor:
but how could she
Cleric:
You have those ears for a reason my
boy.
Devdan Vaxidor:
there are other gods. perhaps they
made me an elf and corellian simply disapproves
wes:
switch religion to not elf god
wes:
MAKING A NEW RELIGION TODAY
Cleric:
If the other gods were as strong as
Lorathien, why are the elves in power?
Devdan Vaxidor:
because the elves were strong when it
counted
Cleric:
Please, you seem angry. Don't be so
hard on yourself...
Devdan Vaxidor:
if lorathien was the strongest god,
then why aren't elves superior to all races in all facets?
Cleric:
Because someone has to tend the fields.
Devdan Vaxidor:
that only explains the orcs
Devdan Vaxidor:
what of the humans?
Cleric:
Also dumber but stronger.
Devdan Vaxidor:
untrue
Cleric:
You haven't me enough humans.
Devdan Vaxidor:
perhaps slower and stouter, but not
stronger
Devdan Vaxidor:
i believe you speak from lack of
experience
Devdan Vaxidor:
i have had a lifetime of experience.
you are a man of the cloth for an elf god. how many humans have
you ever met
wes:
and go pick up my friend soveliss
wes:
i'm legit starting a guild of not
shitty elves
Keenan:
oh god, this is not going to go well
Devdan Vaxidor:
soveliss, what does it mean
Devdan Vaxidor:
the god of elves herself attacked me
Devdan Vaxidor:
i think it's a sign
Devdan Vaxidor:
a sign that i am to serve another lord
Soveliss Sindel:
Wait, serve another god?
Devdan Vaxidor:
think of it soveliss, elves can't stay
on top like this forever
Devdan Vaxidor:
eventually the other races will
destroy us
Devdan Vaxidor:
we must create a more stable system
Devdan Vaxidor:
the elf god is too short sighted to
see this
Devdan Vaxidor:
we can remain on top, but only if we
create a system that doesn't mean blood is the path to ascension
Brian:
these are kind of random insights...
wes:
my character is a noble with high int
and wis
wes:
i assume he understand the elves are
in a tenuous situation
Brian:
yeah, but just coming up with
democracy because you didn't get to be a knight?
wes:
i'm coming up with democracy because
the god of hitler said she hated me
wes:
who told me she hates me
wes:
and i'm doing it in the way that most
benefits me
wes:
anyways, who said democracy
Soveliss Sindel:
Don't be so hasty in assuming the
words of the people are the opinions of the gods my firend, maybe
that bird was sent to test you, or maybe it was some creature of
another god made to look like our sacred one. While I agree that
the differences between the elves and the other races are not as
great as many seem to think, its best to work within the system
then out of it
Brian:
ehh, I'm not about to block a player
who wants to drive the plot somewhere interesting, just putting in
my two cents
wes:
i'm assuming as a noble with high
mentals i have the requisite knowledge and resources to go *meta*
to some degree as it were
Keenan:
i think that depends on what you mean
by meta
wes:
i mean what's happening now
Brian:
well lets roll with it. Just stay
within your world as best you can.
Devdan Vaxidor:
i wish to research gods. maybe one
that would have a warrior such as myself
wes:
it cool to leave it there
wes:
also, what is my rivals name?
Brian:
You never found it out >:)
Brian:
you remember his face though...
wes:
anyways, my plan right now is to find
a god and establish a knightly order for a god that likes me
wes:
and then kick lorathians knee caps
wes:
also, i need to find more PCs
Keenan:
well, i guess thats it guys, see you
later
