Kenan:
sorry abut the wait guys
Kenan:
by the way i ofrgot, by the no scrying
thing, do you mean the paint that got rid of scrys on you and
protected you from them, or just a room that couldnt be scryed in
DM:
alright, I assume you know how the
last session ended?
DM:
just that room couldn't be scryed in,
but it made scrying on the subjects harder until the paint was
removed.
DM:
The idea was the everything looks
different all the time, making it hard for a remote viewer to get
a lock if you will
Kenan:
any narration or do we jsut continue
Kenan:
oh, guess waiting for boretos
DM:
I assume we pick up shortly after the
combat ends, with you all talking in the front room about what to
do next...
Kenan:
I look out to check if theres anyone
else hiding out there
Kenan:
also, I ask ekkhardt to send a message
to ask for a mage to fix constance
Officer Ekkhardt:
Aye
* Kenan rolls: d20+7 => 5 + 7 = 12
DM:
you don't see anything
Kenan:
are you joinin gme ig
Ignatius Stendatem: (( I search the mage's body.
))
* Adam rolls: 1d20+0 => 9 + 0 = 9
Kenan:
I decide to do a quick patrol around
the building to see if anyone is hiding somewhere, and tell ig to
watch the strager because he has very important information
DM:
you find a scroll with common phrases,
each with a strange writing next to it...
Ignatius Stendatem:
hm... a translator of some sort.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( what are the phrases I
recognize? ))
Kenan:
wait, i foget, do the wreithor have
thier own writing system
Kenan:
well, ill probably check on that after
my patrol then
DM:
it is only taught to some though, as
it's not really nessicary
Kenan:
oh, would i ahve learned it
DM:
"Hello" "I come in peace" "Surrender
or die" "I serve God" "I bear God's word" "I serve Obad" "I bring
Obad's blessing" "I surrender" "I know nothing" "No speak
Macharian" "No speak imperial"
DM:
The grammer is a bit odd for some of
them, but they are all technically correct
Kenan:
does anything happen or do i see
anyhting during my patrol
DM:
Nope, all seems quiet.
DM:
The sun will rise soon
Ignatius Stendatem:
Hm. This doesn't make much sense...
Hunter:
What doesn't?
Ignatius Stendatem:
This document. I assume it's some sort
of translator, between our languange and this xeno's, but most of
the phrases have a peaceful demeanor to them.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Doesn't make much sense to write nice
things when you plan on turning them to stone as soon as you lay
eyes on them.
Hunter:
Well thats odd,but maybe the demon who
rules wreith was just planning for any eventuality, such as if
there was a muhc bigger party they encountered, or they would have
surrenedered to whoever would ahve come to check on us in order to
enter the city or oemthing like that. Can't really think of
another reason for it.
Hunter:
Anyway, have you sent the message
Ekkhardt
Officer Ekkhardt:
Yes. I am awaiting responce.
Hunter:
Ok, now fisher, do you know anything
that the demon who rules Wreith doesn't know you know. If not,
then jsut spout everything here, if so, then ill bring you to
where we cant be scryed on, and tell me then.
Fisher:
I don't think there is. I just broke
out of Bliss and Agony, and God threatend to kill me if I didn't
do this mission.
Hunter:
what was the mission exactly
Hunter:
tell me everyhting you can about ti
Fisher:
I was to act like Macharious, while
God revived all of the dead. I would get the approval of the
people and become a saint to them. I don't know where he wanted to
go from there. I was to wait for more instructions.
Hunter:
Ok, how did he teach you how to act
like macharious and his story and such stuff, or did he jsut tell
you what to say and you said it
Fisher:
God told me the legond. It wasn't too
long.
Fisher:
I don't really belive it happend...
Hunter:
And i guess he cast a spell on you so
that you could speak our language, or atleast, I would assume as
much
Fisher:
Yes
Hunter:
Do you have any idea what woke you up,
or was it jsut random luck, also, how easy was it to find this
passageway to the surface, with all the guards, I imagine it
wouldnt have been easy to escape
Hunter:
Im afraid that he mgiht have let you
up in order to set a trap fro an invading force when we might try
to stop him.
Kenan is disconnected.
Kenan has connected.
Chris is disconnected.
Adam is disconnected.
Kenan:
did you guys disconnect too
Kenan:
and what was the last thigns you saw
me write
DM:
Hunter: Im afraid that he mgiht have
let you up in order to set a trap fro an invading force when we
might try to stop him.
Adam has connected.
Fisher:
I stumbled on the way out while in the
trance. It was pretty direct.
Fisher:
I faded out of trance after I got
away...
Hunter:
That does not really sound like my
situation at all, there was no easy path out, and once i broke
free of whatever illusions were controlling me my mind was quite
clear quite quickly
Fisher:
You were dead too?
Hunter:
I wasnt dead, that was just some state
that we were put into where we just walked around in teh cave in
either a blissful or painful state depending on his whim
Hunter:
None of us were
Hunter:
It really sounds like all of this may
have been planned by him, because it sounds like you had a really
easy time escaping
Chris has connected.
Hunter:
hell, you didnt even escape, he saw
you just outside
DM:
You are interrupted by Ekkhardt
walking in...
Kenan:
forgot hell wasnt a word
Officer Ekkhardt:
The city has no officers to spare.
Anyone else would at least be half a day away by rail.
Ignatius Stendatem:
That's unacceptable.
Kenan:
wait, i thought we were relatively
close to the city
Officer Ekkhardt:
Mr. Stendatem, if that is really who
you are, there is a crisis going on right now.
Officer Ekkhardt:
Your wife will not decay in this
state. If she is alive now, she will be alive in a week.
DM:
you are. But nobody is avalible in the
city
Hunter:
While this defintiely isnt good, I
dont think we have much choice, I think we should call in soem
help for constance as well as potential reinforcements from the
closest available locaiton if any are available, in case this
happens again. In addition, we need to do further interrgotation
of fisher here now that he is explaining what he has gone trhough
to try and shift through what he has been misled about, and what
he may have actually learned of use.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Now listen here. None of you have any
idea what is going on or what to do about it. Don't stand there
and tell me everyone is busy until they actually have something to
do beyond wild speculation. You will bring someone here to heal my
wife because there is nothing that any of you fools can do in a
day's time more beneficial than restoring the life of one of your
own officers.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( intimidate ))
* Adam rolls: 1d20+10 => 16 + 10 = 26
Kenan is disconnected.
Adam is disconnected.
Chris is disconnected.
Kenan has connected.
Kenan:
damn, i thappened again, i hate
disconnecting
Chris has connected.
Adam has connected.
DM:
last thing I got was iggy's
intimidate...
Kenan:
Kenan: what do i roll in responce
Kenan: and do i get a bonus in that hes hurt and ive beat him in a
fight before
DM:
Intimidate is not an opposed skill I
don't think.
Kenan:
then how does it work
DM:
It's been so long, and we usually say
that you can't use it on other players.
DM:
That said, Ekkardt is just looking at
him in total shock.
Adam:
I'm not trying to intimidate hunter,
but ekkhardt.
Hunter:
Ekkhardt, you explained in teh
telegraph about what happened to Constance, and were still told
that they could do nothin in the city, correct?
Officer Ekkhardt:
All officers trained to that level are
using up their magic to round up the liquid men, as well as
daemons that have started sneaking in. Downtown HQ is a goast town
right now.
Hunter:
Then i'm afraid we dont ahve another
choice but to call elsewhere ignatius, hopefully we'll be able to
get help in half a day, but any more time spent talking about this
and rying to get help that will not come from te city is time
wasted that could be spent asking for help elsewhere for
constance. I know you worry for her, but there is only so much
that can be doen immediately, and we must use our time as
effectively as possible, now ekkhardy, could you please telegraph
the nearest locations asking for help with turning constance back
to flesh
Officer Ekkhardt:
Yes sir.
Hunter:
Thank you
Kenan:
are you typing somehting adma, because
it says you are and its taking a while, sorry, just wanted to make
sure.
Fisher:
What is a telegraph?
Hunter:
Later, now you, explain in deatil what
has happened sicne you got out of that trance, any little thing
that mgiht seem relevant at all, it may take a while, but it seems
we ahve some time here, and it might as well be spent trying to
learn as much as possible about this situation as we can.
Fisher:
Starting from when I got out?
Hunter:
yes, unless theres anything of noe
that occured before hand that might be interesting.
Fisher:
I think that the first thing was that
some angels came to me and told me that I broke God's law. I was
scared, and they almost killed me.
Fisher:
Then they seemed to change their
minds. They told me that God was going to give me one last chance.
I listened and God talked to me.
Fisher:
He told me that there were evil people
on the surface who thought that there was a god named Macharious.
Then he told me the tale.
Fisher:
I wanted to ask why this mattered, but
I didn't. He then said that I needed to pretend to be that god, so
that people would follow me. He said that he would bring back the
dead, and for a while I would make the surface people think that I
did it, so they belived I was Macharious. Then he would reveal
himself, and you all would see that there was only one God who was
doing all the miricles.
Fisher:
I walked, given food by God's magic,
until I reached Pig's Hallow.
Fisher:
That's where I met you.
Hunter:
Ok then then, first things first, no
one worships Macharious, or atleast as a good, many people
definitely praise him excessively, but thats besides the point,
and he probably earned it. No one actually believes hes a god, and
"God" has lied to you about basicallly everything for our entire
lives. For one thing, he is in no way all powerful
Hunter:
Now, did you still believe him after
he told you all this, and if so, then why did you try to reveal to
me that you realized agony wasnt real and that you werent the real
macharious and other such info
Fisher:
No, I knew that he wasn't all powerful
when I managed to escape him. I knew that my fate was risky if I
finished the mission, and after seeing that the surface people
don't live in a world of misery I started to question why we were
locked in Wrieph.
Fisher:
And I'm not sure I want to go back to
Wrieph...
Hunter:
Trust, me, you don't, sure things
aren't perfect here either, but atleas we do not live at the mad
whims of a crazy dictator that fashions itself a deity.
Fisher:
I suppose so, but I still don't
understand how this world works.
Fisher:
If you don't worship Macharious, who
makes all this magic work?
Hunter:
Well, most of it is arcane magic,
which I must admit, I frankly don't understand, though I have
access to magic based on the forces of nature. And for the rest of
ow the world works, I suppose you will just have to learn over
tiem, and feel free to ask questions later
Hunter:
First however, would you be able to
draw a approximate map for how you got to pig's hallow
Fisher:
Sure.
DM:
You find some paper, and he draws you
a path
Hunter:
Thank you, this will be of use in
possibly freeing the rest of our people later. Now, can you think
of anyhting else important to ask him ignatius
Ignatius Stendatem:
I have nothing to ask.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Beyond why any of this matters.
Hunter:
Very well, have you gotten any message
back yet Ekkhardt
Officer Ekkhardt:
Not yet. It's complicated right now,
and we have no agents on standby. Septum is enroute to the
capital, and asked us to send him a report of everything we found.
Hunter:
And it matters becasue it mgiht
soemhow be related to this mess, or it means that the demon who
controls wreith might ahve known about it ahead of time, in
addition, if this is indeed a cave that leads out of wrieth, then
this means that we may finally have located it.
Hunter:
Ok, tel him that we fought a xenos and
4 lizards, that constance got turned to stone and that we need
help with it, and that Fisher might have revealed the location of
Wreith and has admitted that he is indeed not Malcharious and that
the demon who rules Wrieth sent him here.
Officer Ekkhardt:
Yes sir.
Hunter:
Good, now I suppose if there is
nothing else truly productive to do besides attempting to clean up
the mess and atleast attempting to help Ignatius' injuries, I can
start awnsering any questions you might have Fisher, as long as
they dont reveal anything that might be confidential.
DM:
Alright, so you don't take any other
major actions this morning?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( i don't ))
Kenan:
Not that i can think of, unless adam
can think of somehting, also, if Adam doesnt seem to need to
sleep, i guess we have keep guard.
DM:
At some point Ekkhardt calls in
soldiers to the base who help
DM:
although the degree to which they can
help is brought into question by how well those two fared
Kenan:
true, i guess we also give the guards
a burial, or prepare there bodies for whatever we do with them. do
you know?
DM:
In the last campaign the bodies were
buried, so I assume that that is the standard Macharian ritual.
Chris:
i sleep like a rock
Kenan:
i assume so, if adam doesnt need
sleep, he guards, and if he does, than me, ekkhardt, and him take
shifts
Kenan:
and good one
DM:
Okay, so the point is you guys get rest
DM:
you aren't getting attacked.
DM:
do you lock Fisher up?
Kenan:
thinking about that
Kenan:
I think so, but i explain that its not
only for our protection, but his as well so that god can't do
anything funny with him, adn also I do my best to try to make him
confortable. I do my best to not seem mean to him, since he ahs
had such a rough time if everything he said is the truth.
DM:
Do you put on scrying protection?
Kenan:
I assumed that its always on but yeah
DM:
So our next encounter occurs while
Ignatious is outside guarding
Ignatius Stendatem: (( outside the building? ))
DM:
unless you just patrol the halls or
somthing
Ignatius Stendatem: (( okay ))
DM:
You hear a voice talk to you in your
head...
Ignatius Stendatem:
What? Who's there?
Kenan:
does this wake me up
DM:
it's in his head only
Kenan:
no, i mean him saying what, whos there
Kenan:
you said that outloud right?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( I did, but the door is
shut and I am loudly whispering. ))
Kenan:
ah, then i probably woudlnt wake up
Ignatius Stendatem:
I don't know anyone by the name of God.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Who are you?
God:
I am the lord of your friend Hunter.
It was I who raised him, fed him, and protected him from danger.
God:
In time, you will see my leadership as
well, but that is not why I speak to you today.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Hunter is hardly a friend of mine, so
any friend of his, I am distrustful of.
God:
Do you want your wife back, Ignatious?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Go on...
God:
I can return her to her normal form
using my magic. It would be a trival task to me.
Kenan:
wait, just wondering, yuor character
does know that she will be fixed soon regardless right, since with
the new magic rules i dont think its as hard as before
Ignatius Stendatem:
What's in it for you?
Ignatius Stendatem:
I doubt you would be doing this out of
the kindness of your heart.
God:
I ask only that you return what is
mine. That scroll you posses.
God:
However, I am a kind being.
DM:
you suddenly heal 3d10
* Adam rolls to you: 3d10 => 10
God:
I created you, and will always look
after you.
God:
If the world were to return to me,
there would be no violence at all.
Ignatius Stendatem:
If what you say is true, why would you
create me in this form? Why not back to the way I was when I was
happy?
God:
Because you are far from my sacred
realm. Your bodies were made of worldly flesh, and were left
behind when you perished. I was able to return your souls to this
world, but I needed to craft new bodies because you were not ready
for me to join them together in the holy union of Bliss.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Bliss? What are you talking about?
God:
In addition to this world, I own a
special world where the spirit of life infuses all things. Death
does not exist there, so it is where I bring my children who die
to live on forever in paradice.
God:
You would have gone, but you did not
accept me, and I would not send you against your will.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Sounds a fate I was previously
prescribed by the wishmaster. I didn't take a shine to it.
God:
And what did that daemon do to you?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Locked me away for a would-be eternity
in a gilded prison so she could take advantage of my power for her
own selfish devices.
God:
Such is the flaw of an afterlife with
only earthly pleasures. Nothing of this world can truely satisfy.
But Bliss is a place wholly unlike that prison, where I bring my
followers into union with the force of life itself. Only this
unearthly joy can make one happy forever.
God:
But you need not worry about the
Wishmaster. She has been slain years ago, as you should know.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Perhaps I need not worry about her,
but I would be a fool to let myself fall victim to the same trap
twice.
Ignatius Stendatem:
And so far, all I hear is that you'll
grant me my wish to save my wife in exchange for my enteral
servitude, is that about right?
God:
I am not asking for your obediance. I
only ask for the scroll.
God:
You will see me in a better light in
time, but for now I wish only to make a trade and reunite a couple.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( sense motive ))
* Adam rolls: 1d20+7 => 12 + 7 = 19
* Chris rolls: 1d20 => 16
Chris:
just for shits nd giggles
DM:
you don't sense a lie...
Ignatius Stendatem: (( but... ))
Kenan:
never said anything about manipulation
of truth
DM:
Sense motive detects if someone sounds
or looks like they are lieing. The voice in your head doesn't.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( "You can also use this
skill to determine when “something is up” (that is, something odd is
going on) or to assess someone’s trustworthiness." ))
DM:
you don't sense that either. It's
really hard to pick up subtle cues from a voice in your head.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( okay. ))
Ignatius Stendatem:
So what's your plan? I give you this
scroll and you use it to take over the world?
God:
Takeing over the world would be
redundant. I just want a display of honesty here.
God:
After all, it's not your scroll...
Ignatius Stendatem:
And you want me to keep this
transaction a secret or do you care?
God:
It will be hard to hide Constance
being healed, won't it?
God:
Besides, I am not afraid of what I
do...
Chris:
god is redundant as fuck here
Ignatius Stendatem:
Are the contents of this scroll
supposed to be a secret to anyone?
God:
They were a personal message. I will
not interfere with you telling others if you choose to.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( sense motive ))
* Adam rolls: 1d20+7 => 17 + 7 = 24
Ignatius Stendatem:
Alright, what do you want me to do
with this scroll?
DM:
A small portal appears at your feet.
God:
Just place it in here...
Ignatius Stendatem:
Okay.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( no. ))
Ignatius Stendatem: (( not yet at least. ))
Ignatius Stendatem: (( how big is the portal? ))
Kenan:
wait, ive been meaning to ask, do you
even have the scroll on you, are you even wearing clothing, or is
it all just a mass of jel, and if so,, wouldnt the scroll have
gotten all soggy?
Kenan:
would you have placed it somewhere
where that wouldnt happen in that case?
Adam:
from my understanding, I have all my
gear, and look exactly the same except I'm all black and have the
consistency of a gummi bear
Kenan:
ok then, I've been confsed about that
for a while, were you given your gear by constance or did you form
with it?
DM:
he could also have grabbed a normal
bag too
DM:
he formed with it. He looks like a
black army man
Adam:
I reach into my pocket and as I fumble
around for the letter bottle of alchemists fire accidentally falls
out of my pocket and into the portal
DM:
are you trying to make this look like
an accident?
Kenan:
wai,t did you do that accidently on
purpose i guess
Adam:
I don't know what you all are talking
about. that was totally an accident.
* Adam rolls: 1d20+1 => 20 + 1 = 21
God:
What... What was that?
Ignatius Stendatem:
oops.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Watch out for that.
God:
It is but a fire. Easy to extinguish.
Chris:
except the fire's made of water
Chris:
because fuck logic
Kenan:
been wondeirng about how that worked
now
DM:
you don't mind the teleporting
dinosaurs, but the buring water you are upset with?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Alright, well, it's been a long day,
and I've gone through a lot, so I'm going to bed. I'll drop the
scroll off in the tomorrow.
Kenan:
well yeah, teleportation is normal,
and i imagine ive seen my fair share of dinosaurs, but thats all
magic or biology, stuff ive already accepted, aclhemy is science,
and by changing the chamicals, the properties of whatever was made
should also chage, whihc would be a foundation of the alchemy
itself.
Kenan:
that magic should therefore change the
way the alchemy would work, since its changing what makes up the
alchemists fire, but then again, this si dnd, screw logic
God:
Do you think this is a joke? The
scroll is mine.
DM:
do you just not respond?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( no, hold on. ))
Ignatius Stendatem:
Look, I don't know if you are aware,
but I just lost 8 years of my life and have been so totally
disfigured that nobody trusts me. Not even my own family. Instead
of being heralded as the prodigal son upon my return to this
world, I am poked, prodded, shot, and called a daemon and a liar.
If I help you now without consulting my keepers, do you think they
are going go on trusting me any sooner? I have no interest in
being part of some revolution or whatever you're up to, I just
want my life back. If helping you is the best way of doing that,
then you should at least show me a sign of good faith and let me
discuss our conversation with my keepers before I go making rash
decisions. If you are anywhere as powerful as you say you are,
then you can wait sixteen more hours for your stupid scroll.
DM:
alright, do you do anything else
before Hunter wakes?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( nope. ))
DM:
Alright then. RP away
Kenan:
wait, are all these soldiers here now
Kenan:
were they here this whole time
DM:
Ekkhardt called them in earlier.
Kenan:
ok, just wondeirng how long the've
been here.
Kenan:
like, if they were here when i went to
bed
Kenan:
oh, not muhc point in sleeping in
shifts then, oops, oh well.
DM:
either way, you all awake now.
Hunter:
Good morning, anythign interesting
happen Ignatius while we were asleep
Ignatius Stendatem:
Yeah, God called me.
Hunter:
...What?
Adam is disconnected.
Kenan:
im a bit taken aback by htat
Kenan:
wait, no, actually, shock is etched
across my face
Kenan:
i hope adam can reconnect soon
Christopher has connected.
Adam has connected.
DM:
did you not DC, Keenan?
Chris is disconnected.
Kenan:
then its really weird that i did not
DC, thats the first that ever happneed
DM:
And Chris just goes down when the
internet is fine. Classic
DM:
anyhow, last thing I got was the skock
Ignatius Stendatem:
Alright, so basically God wants this
scroll back and in exchange he'll cure Constance.
Hunter:
... Ok, Ok, I'M just going to assume
that this is the same daemon that ruled my life and the life of
all other Xenos completely and utterly for centuries based on his
whims since i haven't heard of any other being that calls itself
that. And, in case your wondering whether you should take part in
the deal, the awnser is FUCK NO!. I don't know why this scroll is
important to him, but if that evil ass bastard wants it, then its
probably pretty dman important. I know you want your wife back to
normal as soon as possible, but I'm pretty sure that if hes
willing to actually help someone for once, then what hes getting
in return must be pretty important, and no way should we let him
have it, and while it might turn her back to flesh sooner, its
probably only by a day or 2, and in return you might just be
endangering, well I dont know, but probably something. THis guy is
just evil
Hunter:
Hell, he's even responsible for your
death, who do you think was leading the xenos that killed you
Christopher:
'tis the evening for grand speeches
Hunter:
NO MATTER WHAT, we can't give in to
what he wants, he is jsut too dnagerous
Ignatius Stendatem:
It also seems he is immune to
alchemist's fire.
Hunter:
...ok curious as to how that came up,
but first, tell me everything that happened and how it happened.
Hunter:
sigh, This bastard and his tricks,
dont EVER trust a word he says, hes no beneveloent god, hes just a
evil bastard who loves to screw with peoples lives adn gather more
power.
Hunter:
Let me look at that scroll, maybe i
can get soem idea as too why its so important, if not, then I'm
sure that septon will wnat to look at it
Adam:
can i do that to a player?
* Adam rolls: 1d20+7 => 16 + 7 = 23
DM:
Keenan, what is your bonus?
DM:
I will roll in secret for you
Kenan:
to charisma, -2, to sence motice if
needed, +1
DM:
ok, Adam, you don't sense any lies
Kenan:
ealso, by the way im acting, you can
probably tell that this guy seriously stresses me out and that im
completely serious about what a screwed up evil bastard he is
Adam:
Alright, well take a look at this
scroll and tell me what it means to you.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Alright, well take a look at this
scroll and tell me what it means to you.
Kenan:
I do so, does it mean anythign to me
Kenan:
can i read the secrew writing
DM:
It is a series of translations from
Macharian imperial to Wriethor
DM:
"Hello" "I come in peace" "Surrender
or die" "I serve God" "I bear God's word" "I serve Obad" "I bring
Obad's blessing" "I surrender" "I know nothing" "No speak
Macharian" "No speak imperial"
Hunter:
Ok, I admit that i ahve no idea why
this would be important, maybe there is something magic about it
that hides soem secret information or the like. Or maybe he jsut
wanted to amke a loyal puppet out of you by doing somethign nice
in order to get a man inside of our group. WHo this Obad
indivisual though interests me, this mgiht be another name that
the daemon who rules Wreith goes by. Wither way, we should
probably ask Ekkhard to check if tehre is anything magical about
it.
Kenan:
I bring it to Ekkhardt
Hunter:
Ekkhardt, apparently the daemon taht
rules Wreith tried last night to convince Ignatius to give him
this scroll, and to be honest, I don't know why it would be too
important with the exception that Obad might be an old anme he
used that we could use to research ancient information about him,
but if theres no magic in this scroll, then I odn't know why else
he would want it back so much
Hunter:
Could you try to detect if this scroll
is magical at all.
Officer Ekkhardt:
Certainly. I just need to prep my
spells.
Hunter:
thanks
Officer Ekkhardt:
It will be about an hour, of course.
Hunter:
ok
Ignatius Stendatem: (( is the portal still there?
))
Kenan:
I then go to the holding cell and
remove fisher
Officer Ekkhardt:
In addition, Septum will be at the
capital in front of a telegraph again in a few hours. I think we
should report that Fisher seems to know about where the liquid men
come from.
Tokens dropped onto map 'Ordos HQ' by player Adam (Player)
Hunter:
Of course, in addition to the fact
that constance had been turned to stone in an attack on us,
however, also report that its based on what a daemon claimed to
him so theres a good chance its a lie to make himself seem more
powerful adn godly
Officer Ekkhardt:
Understood
Hunter:
Now fisher, Can you take a look at
this scroll, I'm wondeirng if you have any idea why "God" might
find it of great importnace, becausse he tried to have Ignatious
give it too him last night. i can't se why, but any clue can help
Fisher:
It looks like a translation sheet.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Did you try holding it up to the light
or applying heat?
Hunter:
thats an idea, but i guess ill hold
out on the heat idea unil after Ekkhardt can look at it, to make
sure that it doesn't burn.
DM:
So you take it to Ekkhardt?
Hunter:
once he had time to prepare his magice
of course, no point in doing it ahead fo that, might just interupt
him and make it take longer
Kenan is disconnected.
Christopher is disconnected.
Adam is disconnected.
Christopher has connected.
Adam has connected.
Kenan has connected.
DM:
alright, he gets it ready soon enough,
and starts doing magic to it.
Officer Ekkhardt:
Alright, here is the ticket.
DM:
He turns it over, and lines start
showing up.
DM:
They seem to form a map, but not of
any region you recognise.
Hunter:
Now this is interesting, lets make a
copy right away
Hunter:
do any of you recognize what this map
may be of?
Officer Ekkhardt:
I do not.
Fisher:
I don't know what a map is.
Ignatius Stendatem:
No clue.
Hunter:
Oh well, we mgiht be able to find out
later, include the fact that we got a mysterious map that the
daemon who rules wreith did not want to get into our hands. I'm
sure he'll want to know about this as well.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Ekkhardt, could you prepare a spell to
make a man very small for a short time?
Hunter:
Why?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Well he wanted me to throw the scroll
into a portal about 6 inches across...
Officer Ekkhardt:
STOP
Officer Ekkhardt:
Don't talk about specific plans unless
we are in a saferoom.
Officer Ekkhardt:
In fact, why are we talking here?
Hunter:
That is an excellent point
Officer Ekkhardt:
Just read of the following to let us
out.
Soldier:
Sir yes sir,
Soldier:
Do you know what's going on yet, sir?
Kenan:
just wondeirng, how are we supposed to
signl when to let us out
DM:
some hand gesture or somthing
Hunter:
No, but were doign our best to fin out
DM:
yall get teleported in, and the
rainbow shower begins
Kenan:
by the way, i think we would ahve
moved constance to a place where someone couldnt jsut accidently
walk into her and knock ehr down
Kenan:
i ofcoruse protect the map from this,
so it doesnt get ruined
DM:
then move her token somwhere
DM:
no real need to bring it in at all
DM:
in fact, that would violate security,
as it could be used for scrying
Kenan:
didnt do that then, thought did place
it in the safest possible place
Officer Ekkhardt:
Alright, here's to hoping that no
daemons were watching us right then.
Hunter:
Yeah, now, i assume you were planning
to go through the portal to spy on the daemon. While that could
definitely bear fruit, i frankly don't think you would be able to
get back alive.
Ignatius Stendatem:
I'm already dead.
Hunter:
...That is defintiely true, but you
have been of good use here, and except for possibly just a quick
peek, I'm pretty sure there isnt mch chance of you coming back.
None of us would like this, especially Constance.
Kenan:
by the way, would ekkhardyt be able to
trun constance back to flesh, and if so, why hadn't we odne that
yet today
DM:
He doesn't have enough magic for it if
he wants to do anything else that day.
DM:
Yesterday he just didn't have the
right things prepped.
Kenan:
ah, and we already got him to do the
map
Kenan:
should probably have thought that
through more
DM:
He probably would have taken issue
with not having a good amount of anti-manna on hand with all these
daemons flying about anyhow.
DM:
Right now he considers the daemons
greater priority, and is waiting on a wizard that can turn her
back without much effort.
Kenan:
ok, that makes sence
Fisher:
Perhaps I should go. God might still
think I follow him.
Hunter:
There is a chance of this
Hunter:
but how will we convince him to open
the portal without giving up the scroll and while me and ekkhardt
are near, theres no way he would believe we werent up to
something, he knows how i feel about him.
Hunter:
and if we werent near, then surely he
would question why fisher is so small
Officer Ekkhardt:
Are we certain that we can't just give
the daemon the scroll to distract it?
Hunter:
I suppose we could, are you absolutely
certain that there is nothing else special about the scroll
besides the map
Officer Ekkhardt:
I can never be sure.
Kenan:
God wouldnt be able to scry on a
telegram thats sent right, becasue im wndering if we could send
one to septon without god being able to find out what has been sent
DM:
even if not, you know about
cryptogrophy by now
Hunter:
Ok then, in that case, I think we
should ask Septon to rush an additional wizard here fast for a
second opingon and to fix Constance if at all possible. And i do
not mean to insult your ability Ekkhardt, bbut I just want to amke
sure. in the mean time, we shoudl mae an additional copy of the
map so that we will always have 2, and mys as well copy down the
translations as well just incase, you never know when stuff can be
important. WHile we let Adam distract him with the scroll, we let
Fisher enter through the portal quickly while small adn holding on
to a small lenght of thread so that he can quickly pull himself
back if anyhting happens and then tells us what he sees after
doing his best to learn from teh situation. we should ahve him
hide under a nearby leaf or somehting during teh process, until he
goes trhough, adn hope that the portal appears where it did last
time. Does this plan seem atleast reasonably sound? Im more than
willing to listen to anything that might help it, or a reason to
not follow through with it at all.
Officer Ekkhardt:
We would be sending back one of it's
servants to it. One who now has been through our base and knows
our plans.
Hunter:
to be frank, knowing about this base
wont hurt us muhc, since theres nothing really specail with it,
however knowing about our plans coudl definitely hurt. I'm sorry
to doubt you Fisher, but this is very risky. The problem is, adam
is probably required to destracthim, so i guess that leaves you or
me for going through.
Fisher:
Who is Adam?
Kenan:
please let me retcon that to ignatius
Kenan is disconnected.
Adam is disconnected.
Adam has connected.
Christopher is disconnected.
Kenan has connected.
Kenan:
well thats annoyign, what was the last
thing you guys read of mine
Adam:
please let me retcon that to ignatius
Officer Ekkhardt:
Or Constance. Keep in mind that I
don't have the right magic prepared for this kind of spell today,
so we may have someone on hand to bring her back by then.
Officer Ekkhardt:
That said, I would not advise using
her, as she tends to be... prone to danger...
Christopher has connected.
Hunter:
She admiteddly has classicly been
unlucky which such stuff. But still atleast having her back would
be good. Sigh. i think it should probably be me who goes, I'd
probabyl be most likely to survive whatever he throughs at me if
seen, and i would be most liekly to be able to go stealthily.
Can't say I would like to go back to the dragon's den though, but
It might be neccesary.
Officer Ekkhardt:
What exactly were you planning on
doing there, Ignatious?
Kenan:
oh yeah, before my assumation, we
never actually heard all of your plan
Ignatius Stendatem:
I figured there would be at least a
few skull to crack before I found some answers. God knows we
aren't getting very far sitting around here with our thumbs up our
posteriors.
Officer Ekkhardt:
Does he? Do you suspect he has been
scrying on us that well?
Ignatius Stendatem:
He's was able to repair some of my
physical damage, something I have never been able to replicate,
from an undisclosed distance while speaking to my mind. Who knows
what he's capable. I do know we aren't doing ourselves any favors
by underestimating this man.
Hunter:
Thats for sure
Officer Ekkhardt:
Then are we really sure we want to
jump in there blindly?
Hunter:
Of course not, thats part fo the
reason for the report to septon, I would like his suggestion
Officer Ekkhardt:
Then let's stand by for his word.
Hunter:
Of course
Kenan:
wait, we havent sent it yet though
right? or did we? I thught we were about to do so
Kenan:
no, the report to septon
DM:
I think the report was sent, but
either way, you can send another signal
DM:
The point is, you can get in touch
with the guy.
Kenan:
I guess well do that sicne we want his
suggestion on this matter
Kenan:
f course this one will be encrytped i
guess since it deals with potentially delicate plans
DM:
Mind if we stop here? I honestly have
no idea what happens now...
Kenan:
I wonder how stupid our plan of going
througt the portal is
DM:
I will relay you guys Septum's
responce over facebook to each of you.
DM:
You guys have each other's contacts,
right? I will let you guys try to plan this out...
Kenan:
well, i have them as friends on
facebook
