Party Members Individually Enslaved and Put to Work on a Slaver Ship
All party members but Charl and Chris fail at moving boxes and are whipped into a nap
Upon waking up Max unlocked his restraints and began to release the other party members, but was caught and put in tighter restraints.
The party was fed by the slave masters with drugged food and fell asleep.
The new-found great god of the Dorians appeared before the party in the dream and claimed its aspect as a god of Justice and anti-slavery before claiming the party as its disciples. Adam became the gods first cleric and Charl became the god's champion. The god then gave the party a mandate to found a Dorian Theocracy to unify and proclaim god, a temporary competency boost and then told them of a small armory on the ship.
The party then freed themselves, armed themselves, rallied the other slaves, and defeated the crew and their Bard Captain and claimed the ship for themselves. The surviving slaves and crew joined the party. Notable feats are Mike the medic-wizard who single handedly stopped half the party from bleeding out and Max the rogue who managed to keep his balance in the masts after being put to sleep by the bard. After the fighting was done Mike claimed captaincy as he was the last one standing and upon waking up Max stole the Bard's fancy clothes and proclaimed himself first mate.
After sailing south under order orders from god the crew was attacked by a second slaver ship. The party flew a surrender flag and pulled the crew and a ballista under the deck for an ambush. The boarding party was lead by the Bard! After a botched ballista shot by Max the invaders moved out of the hold. Battle was joined and an extremely impressive confusion beam by Adam the party bested the invaders and then took the second pirate ship. Mike the Captain overrode his First Officer Max and allowed the surrendered slavers to live and they were left on the second ship with minimal food and water supplies.
The party proceeded to a minor fishing town where they traded for supplies.
The party encountered the Wieval and after a close encounter with their traps were welcomed into one of the minor Wieval cities. After the Wievals determined the party was not a threat and impressed them with Wieval architecture and engineering the party was given Wieval maps and sent on their way.
The god came to the party and warned them about a terrible storm that they must pass through as a trial. The storm nearly destroyed the party. The deck became incredibly slippery and full of angry crab monsters, the mast was struck and nearly destroyed by warpfire, and the ship only stayed afloat through the magical efforts of Mike and Adam as they forced water out and tried to mend the hull. After the storm the ship was crashed upon the nearby shore it was blown to.
Upon early exploration of the shore the party encountered a strange woman who warned the party they should not be there before running away from terror upon viewing the creature that dredged itself from the sea.
The party fought and were nearly killed by a hydra until Max was able to rally the remaining crew to unload their crossbows and remaining ballista at the fiend. When Max tried to eat the hydra in a desperate ploy for fresh meat it vanished into mist.
The party then found the girl and after again being told that they should not be there yet, proclaimed their mission to found a Dorian Theocracy. The party was then were given a new ship and told of an Empire to the north-east who could help them in their quest. The strange girl accompanied the party to act as delegate.
The party was then lead to encounter the Tua'than. First contact was made with a local fishing vessel who gave the party their bard, Zac, after Max and Charl gave the captain 3 gold pieces. The party was then ushered into a minor city where the Tua'than awed them with the might of the arcane paddle boat and the spectacle of their cities. After being recommended by the strange girl elements of the ruling council met with the party to offer military aid to their quest in exchange for land to construct a trade city within the Dorian Theocracy. The offer was accepted and to cement the deal a mighty moonblade artifact was forged for the Divine Emperor of the Dorian Theocracy. As god's cleric Adam was given responsibility of declaring the Emperor. The parties captain (previously played by Mike now played by Wesley) was chosen as Divine Emperor with Adam to serve as Master of the Faith, Charl to serve as Master of the Armies, and Max to serve as Chief Vizier.
The party, joined by three Tua'than warships and several hundred soldiers, sailed west to found their nation. Upon arriving home again the party learned that a new power has arisen in Dorian lands. A powerful priest worshiping a god that is the antithesis of the parties god appeared and unified the North. At this juncture the party split; Wes, Zac and Chris moved through the South uniting the southern tribes on the point of a blade while Max, Adam and Charl took the Tua'than fleet north to cripple the enemy priests forces until a southern army arrived.
Aided by the mighty northern rivers the Tua'than fleet tore through the northlands. Settlements were given 2 choices surrender and join the Dorian Theocracy or die; many died. Some fell to the initial raids and burning of the villages and the rest fell to the panthers after they were scattered into the forest without shelter. Contact with the main northerner army was made but that army scattered under naval bombardment and Adam's mighty smite.
Eventually the party regrouped and as they made camp with their two armies they were challenged by the enemy priest, who had placed himself out of range of any naval attack. Fearful of any magical force the party chose Charl as their champion, blessed him with all their magical energies and sent him to fight the priest.
Charl killed the priest in one on one combat and the party moved in to inspect the body. It was a trap, a powerful daemon had possessed the priest as a puppet and once the party was gathered it let go of the priests remains and took the form of a hydra to fight the party. Before attacking the daemon unleashed a bubble of anti-magic and raised walls of stone to prevent escape. Wes, Adam and Zac escaped the walls and rushed to the ship to call for bombardment of the walls. Charl and Chris distracted the daemon as the walls were torn down and Max wrecked havoc on its body. Sadly, Charl and Chris gave their lives holding off the daemon and by the time the walls fell only Max was alive to lead it towards the ships and out of its anti-magic bubble. The daemon finally fell to a concentrated assault from Max, Wes, Adam and the two working deck guns on the nearest ship.
Once the daemon was dead the Dorian Theocracy was founded. Wes/Mike was placed as Divine Emperor with Max and Adam as his advisers. Zac was given control of the new large Tua'than port city under construction. The Theocracy immediately made efforts to centralize power and rebuild the damages of the war. It then began to work towards its long term goals of learning the skills of the Tua'than, while straining keep the exchange of Dorian food and gold for Tua'than technology, industrial goods and specialty items favorable to the Dorian wellbeing.
