Boretos has connected.
Keenan has connected.
Boretos:
Welcome back, everyone.
Brian:
Adam, be sure to save the transcript
and campaign
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan has connected.
Boretos:
make sure that keenan has hamachi set
to be a home network.
Brian:
Keenan, you heard that?
Boretos:
except he's using a mac.
Keenan:
that took a while to get on
Keenan:
anyway, did you guys see my last
message before disconnecting?
Keenan:
we sent a message to septum reporting
everything and asking for his suggestion, but at the moment i
suggest we dont based on the fact that our chance of success would
be very low and that i odnt believe the potential reward would
likely be worth losing an officer and everything he knows
Keenan:
I dont think hunter would like to risk
losig someone to God unless there was a reasonable chance of
success or the gain would really be worth it
Boretos:
So what are we going to do?
Keenan:
wait till septums report gets abck
probbaly
Keenan:
i mean responce not report
Brian:
are you cool with that as well?
Brian:
alright, then I suppose all my
planning for when you go down the rabbit hole is for nothing.
Boretos:
what rabbit hole?
Keenan:
the rabbit hole of gods portal
Brian:
what exactly did you put in the report?
Boretos:
I thought that was closed and too
small to fit through anyway.
Keenan:
i think we wrote it down in the last
seession, i forget exactly what it said?
Keenan:
and we were considering trying to go
down to see what we would find when he reopened it the next nihg
Boretos:
Oh, I totally want to go through the
portal.
Brian:
I posted the last transcript
Boretos:
Even if I have to go alone. I'm
already a dead man walking.
Brian:
essentially, you said you were going
to drop the scroll to God
Keenan:
you probably couldnt though, since you
would be distacting him
Keenan:
you would have to get thoruhg before
he closed the portal on you which would probably be hard
Officer Ekkhardt:
Hunter has a point.
Officer Ekkhardt:
And what exactly do you want to even
do down there?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Wreck shit.
Hunter:
COnsidering how he would vastly
overpower any of us, that might be difficult, and thats even if
you could someohow ge throuhg the portal without him being
distracted in some way, and with him not realizing what were
planning to do
Officer Ekkhardt:
If I get a good look through, I may be
able to reach that location again.
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan has connected.
Officer Ekkhardt:
In fact, if we can put in a unique
token, we may have a good chance of scrying, unless God has good
enough defences...
Keenan:
did you see my last message?
Keenan:
and did you say anythign besides what
ekkhardt jsut said
Keenan:
COnsidering how he would vastly
overpower any of us, that might be difficult, and thats even if
you could someohow ge throuhg the portal without him being
distracted in some way, and with him not realizing what were
planning to do
Boretos:
okay. yeah we got that.
Boretos:
then erkhardt said....
Keenan:
and what did ekkhardy say besides what
he just said
Boretos:
Officer Ekkhardt: If I get a good look
through, I may be able to reach that location again.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Is there not some way to track the
portal and construct one ourselves later?
Hunter:
That sounds like a good idea
Hunter:
Do you know if we can do that Ekkhardt?
Officer Ekkhardt:
It is definitely possible.
Hunter:
Good, Then i like that putting in a
talisman to scry on and getting a good look in there idea. It
doesnt really risk anything and it could ahve good potential
reward if it all works out
Officer Ekkhardt:
Sounds like a plan
Brian:
So I suppose you wait?
Keenan:
I guess so if nothing else happens, i
mean would there be anything else we could do?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Do you want me to put in the talisman
with the scroll, then?
Keenan:
did we inish studying that map?
Keenan:
and we replicated it already right
Brian:
I thought you copied it...
Keenan:
then i guess thats a good idea then,
give him what he wants, and we get a look through, hoepfully he
wont expect it
Hunter:
DOes that sound good to you as well
Ekkhardt? would the talisman work properly with that plan?
Officer Ekkhardt:
It would be a better view if we put it
down seperately, but I think that hiding it is the best option.
Hunter:
Very well then
Brian:
You eventually get a response from
Septum, requesting that Fisher be sent to a higher ranking HQ via
train with any avalible escort. He also informs you that a officer
is inbound to cure Constance
Keenan:
I guess we'll send him on the same
train as the one that brings the officer to cure constance then?
Keenan:
or does he mean right away with someone
Brian:
He seemed to imply right away. In
fact, it would not be tough to just ask him, and he does.
Keenan:
ok, i guess we send him with a fairly
large group of soldiers then, since theres no one else that can go
with him really
Keenan:
well, i guess i could but i would
probably stay to help make sure everything goess well, or if were
attacked again
Brian:
alright, you have 13 men on base right
now
Brian:
how many do you send off?
Boretos:
I'd say 5 sounds about good.
Keenan:
I would say 10 would make a reasonable
guard, we dont want to send all since we need someone to operate
the scry room
Keenan:
maybe more than 5 since we want him
well protected
Keenan:
or as well protected as possible
Boretos:
split the difference? 7?
Keenan:
that sounds good i guess, does that
sound good to ekkhardt as well?
Christopher has connected.
Keenan:
and brian, di you see my message?
Officer Ekkhardt:
Let's send 8. one full squad
Ignatius Stendatem:
Fine by me.
Brian:
alright, 8 go off with Fisher
Hunter:
Tha sounds like a good number
Christopher is disconnected.
Christopher is disconnected.
Christopher has connected.
Keenan:
damn, did chris just disconnect
Keenan:
or did everyone disconnect and im not
just aware again
Brian:
alright, so now you get the scrool and
await God?
Keenan:
I guess so, unless somehting else
happens
Brian:
arrange yourselves
Keenan:
i guess me and ekkhard will be away
from you adam since we dont want to be noticed
Brian:
remember that it was only Iggy who was
in contact
Keenan:
unless ekkhardt needs to be close by
Keenan:
so, does he? or can we be hidden,
Brian:
and hide checks are always a thing
Keenan:
i guess i should be in the anti scry
room because if im not hell be aware of me
Keenan:
simply because of that annoying
connection we have
Boretos:
ekkhardt might want to take any off
any noisy armor that he might be wearing.
Boretos:
if you know what I mean.
Brian:
also, might want to be outside for
this one
Boretos:
how close does he need to be?
Brian:
not very. Just needs a visual.
God:
Have you made a decision?
Ignatius Stendatem:
You say you want this scroll? And it's
purposes are innocent?
God:
It bears messages of peice. Ask my
child who is with you.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Your child? You mean the one who
turned my wife to stone?
God:
No. You slew him. I refer to the one
who disobeys.
Ignatius Stendatem:
If you truly mean peace, make me whole
again.
God:
Would you come with me, and join me in
my domain?
God:
Upon this cursed ground, it is far
more difficult to bestow my gifts.
God:
As it is so upon an unwilling heart.
Ignatius Stendatem:
You cannot blame me for being...
unconvinced.
Ignatius Stendatem:
I'm a firm believer that actions speak
louder than words.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Your actions thus far have not proven
you to be all too peaceful.
God:
Have you killed a man, Ignatius?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Never without first being provoked.
God:
And did they know of your
provokations? Did they understand your plans?
Ignatius Stendatem:
Plans? My plan has only ever been to
defend my family and myself. Any aggressor cannot expect to meet
no resistance after their intentions are made known.
God:
You have been born into a world of
shadows, fearing the greater things that be. If you allow me to
show you, you will see the justice in my actions, the good that I
do. But as you cannot explain your motives to all of those who you
interact with, neither can I simply explain to you everything that
is at play.
God:
I ask that you come with me, and I
show you what has been hidden from you by your masters.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( sense motive ))
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+7 => 19 + 7 = 26
Ignatius Stendatem: (( not quite good enough to
beat a god, I'm guessing. ))
Brian:
you don't detect falsehood.
Brian:
it's also really hard to tell if a
voice in your head is lieing
Ignatius Stendatem:
Alright.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Show me your peace.
Brian:
He creates a man-sized portal in front
of you.
Ignatius Stendatem: (( I've still got the scroll
and talisman, right? ))
Officer Ekkhardt:
*whisper* you damn fool...
Ignatius Stendatem: (( WIS 10 INT 10 ))
Keenan:
your character still would probably
realize that it would be a bad idea to go along with a guy calling
himself god though
Keenan:
your average, not stupid with those
stats
Ignatius Stendatem: (( He knows what's what. ))
Ignatius Stendatem: (( Time to nut up or shut up.
He enters. ))
Keenan is disconnected.
Brian:
You are teleported into a cavern,
about 15 feet across
Brian:
"house of God" map
Brian:
there is a passage to the south
Boretos:
I can kinda see everything, just so
you know.
God:
This is the land of light, Bliss. It
is where my light is strongest
Boretos:
shall I look away?
Brian:
there is nothing in this dungeon right
now anyhow
God:
Head to your right, Ignatius..
Brian:
you see Constance, still turned to
stone
Brian:
But the stone begins to crack, until
finally, it opens to reveal her unwounded.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Constance?
Brian:
Chris, you are here?
Christopher:
yes, i'm here
Brian:
well, you remember nothing after being
turned to stone.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Why am I in an interrogation room?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( wrong constance. ))
Ignatius Stendatem: (( chris is on the wrong map.
))
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Ignatius? Wha- where are we, why, and
how did we get here?
Ignatius Stendatem:
God brought us here. Long story. I'll
fill you in later.
God:
Your cure will take longer, as you
must be returned from death itself.
Ignatius Stendatem:
How long?
God:
That... is where things get more
difficult.
Unknown command: "impersonste". Try /help for a list of
commands.
Unknown command: "impersonsate". Try /help for a list
of commands.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
(can I hear this)
Brian:
That was the last thing you could not
hear. From now on, he projects from the ceiling.
Ignatius Stendatem:
Go on...
God:
Walk into the room full of light.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Something tells me that isn't a good
idea.
God:
Here you will see the others whom I
have saved from death.
Brian:
you see many humanoid creatures in the
room, all made of black goo.
Brian:
They seem to be resting or lounging.
They look relived more than anything.
God:
Like you, they died with no knowlege
of the truth. They experienced no eternal life like that I give to
my children.
Ignatius Stendatem:
So why are they here?
God:
I have decided that it is time to
break the grip of lies on this world. I have taken them back from
death, and these ones have listened to me, and returned to me. But
others have been more foolish
Christopher:
hell of a god complex you have there
God:
A great meeting of the dead has been
called, where they wish to extend their false lives as long as
possible, and mix the living with the dead for all time.
Christopher:
*hides from inevitable tomatoes*
God:
if the dead are to see peace, this
must be stopped.
God:
What I ask of you is that you join me
in weakening the foolish attempts of the walking dead, by becoming
an example yourself.
* Christopher rolls: 2d6 => 7
God:
I will cure you, and you can show the
others around the world of the error of their ways. They will
finally have their eternal life, and be free from the suffering
you have faced.
Ignatius Stendatem:
What others? Others like me? Black and
gooey?
God:
All of those who lived without knowing
the truth became this way upon death, if their soul was strong
enough to survive unlife at all.
Ignatius Stendatem:
You want me to fight against those who
wish to mix the living and dead?
God:
It is for the greater good. You have
seen the uproar it has caused amoung your people; imagine what it
is doing in lands of which you have never heard.
Ignatius Stendatem:
What can one man do?
God:
Serve as a beacon, and break up larger
gatherings that may try to bind themselves to this world.
God:
As you have observed, few trust a
voice from the sky.
* Christopher rolls: 2d6 => 9
Ignatius Stendatem:
You expect them to listen when I tell
them they should all let themselves die.
Ignatius Stendatem:
?
Ignatius Stendatem:
I certainly don't feel alive.
God:
Give it time, and you will.
Brian:
so do you pull any fast ones, or can
we switch to a different scene?
Brian:
cause other stuff is going on at the
same time
Ignatius Stendatem: (( I should be giving the
talisman a show, but I'll wait to make rash actions for when a better
opportunity presents itself. ))
Brian:
do you unwrap the talsman from the
scroll?
Ignatius Stendatem: (( yeah. ))
Keenan has connected.
Brian:
then switch to open plains
Brian:
You will now be playing the soldiers
guarding Fisher for this scene
NOTE: This plot thread ended up going nowhere. Feel free to skip
Christopher:
another train scene
Boretos:
they always go well.
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan is disconnected.
Brian:
so yall are chugging down the tracks,
guarding this asshole who claims some daemon sent him on a spirit
quest. It has been nearly 8 hours from departure
Christopher is disconnected.
Brian:
suddenly, all the players DC
Keenan has connected.
Christopher has connected.
Brian:
so yall are chugging down the tracks,
guarding this asshole who claims some daemon sent him on a spirit
quest. It has been nearly 8 hours from departure, and so far it
has been nothing but straight riding.
Brian:
everyone pick a row to play
Brian:
you are all first level Macharian
fighters with guns
Keenan:
I call being the racist
Keenan:
or atleast the vocal one
Boretos:
Dibs on north row.
Keenan:
i think ill be second row
Christopher:
southernmost row
Keenan:
the right one is the vocal racist the
left one isn't paying muhc attention and is just thinking about
how he cant wait till he gets back home
Brian:
note that this RPing is all for fun
Boretos:
Do we have ability scores?
Brian:
when you want shit to happen, just say
so
Soldier 1:
So...
Brian:
and STR 10 DEX 12 INT 12 everything
else 10
Brian:
you have point blank shot and far shot
Soldier 7:
Why do we have to guard a fucking xenos
Soldier 3:
Cause it's your orders, jackass.
Soldier 7:
Seriously, what is command thinking,
first one, and now anohter, and atleast the other one didnt talk
about stupid spirt quests
Soldier 7:
And i know, orders are orders, but
still, a fucking xenos
Soldier 8:
Please, just be quiet, i oubt any f us
really want to be here, atleast lets not start some stupid fight
over it
Brian:
At this point, the train suddenly puts
on the breaks.
Soldier 8:
sigh, i doubt this is good
Keenan:
unless, are we where were headed to
already?
Soldier 1: (( looks out window. ))
Brian:
you don't see anything off to the left
side...
Soldier 4: (( looks out window. ))
Keenan:
does soldier 8 see anythng out his
window
Brian:
you see a shoved down line in the
grass going off into the distance, where the tundra meets hills
Keenan:
what do you me by shoved down?
Brian:
like somebody drug crap across it
Fisher:
What is going on?
Soldier 4:
WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!
Soldier 8:
SHut up, but, what do you think is
going on?
Brian:
the train has reached full stop
Keenan:
are the trains connected so that we
can talk tothe conductor
Keenan:
i mean cars in the trains
Brian:
do you head up there?
Keenan:
7 decides to check it out, anyone
joining him?
Keenan:
7 stays in the car
Brian:
anybody else? this does matter
Christopher:
my guys are staying riiiight here
where they can see the xeno, thank you very much, but tell the
others to go ahead
conducter:
Look on ahead.
Keenan:
8 isnt keeping his eyes off the xenos
either
Brian:
a pile of logs block the track
Keenan:
you know what, im going to refer to
them as racist and not racist from now on
Keenan:
racist isnt keeping his eyes off the
xenos
Soldier 8:
Whats happend here? you get any word
form capital about this?
Brian:
Also, shots start firing into the
train.
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 11 + 1 = 12
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 17 + 1 = 18
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 15 + 1 = 16

* Brian rolls: 3d8 => 20
* Brian rolls: 3d8 => 16
Soldier 8:
thats still clsoe to total cover
Keenan:
oops, that was not supposed to be
impersonating
Brian:
you don't have that much armor, and
guns ignore some of it anyhow
Brian:
alright, roll for init
Keenan:
oh yeah, forgot that
Brian:
both of your guys share a roll
* Keenan rolls: d20 => 10
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 9 + 1 = 10
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 6 + 1 = 7
Keenan:
oh, guess mine is 11 then
Keenan:
forgot about the +1
* Christopher rolls: 1d20+1 => 5 + 1 = 6
Brian:
alright, bad guys are at 7
Brian:
anyone above that go
Brian:
you don't see them
Brian:
adam, did you roll init?
Keenan:
wait, we cant see them thrugh the
windows?
Brian:
you can see clearly, but you need to
spot the actuall shooters
Keenan:
oh, so roll a perception then?
Brian:
roll spot, like you are playing real
D&D
* Keenan rolls: d20 => 4
* Keenan rolls: d20 => 14
Brian:
also, Chris, have my guy
Keenan:
i guess everyone above 7 does this
Brian:
that's a good idea
Brian:
unless anyone wants to heal the
wounded guy
Keenan:
cant they do both, a spot check doesnt
take any time right?
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+1 => 5 + 1 = 6
* Christopher rolls: 1d20 => 14
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+1 => 16 + 1 = 17
Christopher:
oh, so close
Keenan:
wait, we get a +1
Boretos:
We have 12 DEX guys.
Brian:
uhh, give yourselves a +2 from ranks
Brian:
and adam, go ahead and go
Keenan is disconnected.
Brian:
just go. Keenan will catch up
Keenan has connected.
Boretos:
Alright. Spot checking.
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 16 + 2 = 18
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 14 + 2 = 16
Brian:
two snipers spotted
Brian:
look carfully at the map
Keenan is disconnected.
Brian:
and roll for bleedout chris
Keenan has connected.
Christopher:
someone succeeded the heal roll
Brian:
then shooters turn
Boretos:
What guns do we have?
Keenan:
ok, what happended while i was gone
Brian:
standard rifles, one pistol each, and
a bayonett. You also carry a vial of multi-colored paint that is
supposed to stop scrying attacks
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 19 + 1 = 20
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 9 + 1 = 10
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 14 + 1 = 15
Brian:
one hit on the conductor
* Brian rolls: 3d8 => 15
Keenan:
wait, dont we get to shoot first
Keenan:
since we had the higher init
Brian:
right, free actions
Keenan:
wait, he shot as a free action?
Boretos:
no, we spotted as a free action.
Brian:
no, you spotted as free
Boretos:
so now we can shoot.
Brian:
you get to shoot iff init>=7
Keenan:
its a +2 to hit right
Boretos:
no attack bonus?
Keenan:
dont we get +1 from warrior and +1
from dex
Brian:
+1 from BAB, +1 from dex
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 11 + 2 = 13
Keenan:
thats what i said
Brian:
it's too far for point blank
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 3 + 2 = 5
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 7 + 2 = 9
Keenan:
i guess then we duck to take cover
Keenan:
and the conductor would as well if his
init is above 7
Brian:
you can take total cover for a round,
but then you aren't allowed to shoot that round
* Brian rolls: 1d20 => 3
Keenan:
wait, would a single move action allow
us to move a foot so they cant see us through the indows
Keenan:
or are the windows in a nonending
linne around the train and if so, then they dont manage there
costs well
Brian:
either way, they could take ready
actions, so you have to choose to be safe or be able to fire back.
Brian:
but if you duck the right way you are
safe
Brian:
ok, did everyone above 7 go?
You have disconnected.
Boretos has connected.
Keenan has connected.
Christopher has connected.
Keenan:
hello again brian
Keenan:
that was a fast disconnect and
reconnect
Brian:
who hasn't gone who is above 7?
Keenan:
did you see this message ok, iguess
ill duck and then just get out of cover to shoot again later,
atleast we still get partial cover to shooting since they would be
so stupid as to show thier whole bodies while doing so
Christopher:
Yeah, I got 6.
Brian:
alright, so Keenan's ducking?
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 5 + 1 = 6
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 19 + 1 = 20
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 9 + 1 = 10
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 11 + 1 = 12
Brian:
and then one on chris' guy in front
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 8 + 1 = 9
* Brian rolls: 3d8 => 3
Keenan:
thats an impressively low roll
conducter:
I'm OK!
Brian:
alright, now folks below
Keenan:
chirs what about your guys, you can
take your shots now
Brian:
the biggest downside to RPtools is
that people can take forever to reply...
Brian:
I gave you a guy in the front car
* Christopher rolls: 1d20+2 => 14 + 2 = 16
* Christopher rolls: 1d20+2 => 18 + 2 = 20
* Christopher rolls: 6d8 => 26
Keenan:
then is it my and adams turns again?
Brian:
also, everyone can go at this point,
as it's a full round until they go again
Brian:
but you are ducking, Keenan
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 12 + 2 = 14
Keenan:
i said till my turn again, you said
that was ok but that they could use readied shot
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 13 + 2 = 15
Keenan:
wonder if those hit
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 19 + 2 = 21
Boretos:
is that a crit chance?
Brian:
but I am still afk
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 16 + 2 = 18
Boretos:
suck it, trebek.
Brian:
yeah that all hits
Brian:
kill the one guy you see
Keenan:
and man, hes dead
Keenan:
did just adams work
Keenan:
if so, since my init was after his, i
guess theres no point at shooting at a dead guy, so they would
probably just ready shots to hit someone else if thats ok
Keenan:
if anyone else appears
Boretos:
I would suggest looking for others.
Christopher:
Following suit.
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 7 + 2 = 9
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 6 + 2 = 8
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 20 + 2 = 22
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 20 + 2 = 22
* Christopher rolls: 1d20+2 => 13 + 2 = 15
Christopher:
well shit man
Keenan:
nice, we both got nat 20s right in a
row
Keenan:
which is kind of useless really
Christopher:
Whatever's out there is SEEN.
Keenan:
since only 1 is neccesary
Keenan:
hopefully brian gets on soon, and if
we do see new guys, and brian allows it, i guess my guys will use
thier shots on them, thouhg i should probably roll new ones for
that since that would be against a new target and such
Brian:
and yes, you see three more snipers
Keenan:
can my guys shoot at them instead if
adam killed the first one, sincce he was first on initiative
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 17 + 2 = 19
* Keenan rolls: d20+2 => 10 + 2 = 12
Keenan:
i guess the first hits
* Keenan rolls: 3d8 => 9
Keenan:
9 damage to one sniper then
Brian:
the last two shoot
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 2 + 1 = 3
* Brian rolls: 1d20+1 => 6 + 1 = 7
You have disconnected.
Boretos has connected.
Keenan has connected.
Christopher has connected.
* Boretos rolls: 1d20+2 => 17 + 2 = 19
Keenan:
what about chirs's shots
* Christopher rolls: 3d8 => 14
* Christopher rolls: 3d8 => 11
Christopher:
boom headshot, by the looks of it
Boretos:
he rolled a 20 and 16.
Brian:
yeah, they all go down
Brian:
combat is ended, btw
Soldier 4:
I KNEW WE COULD DO IT!
Soldier 8:
Can we call capital?
Soldier 8:
We need someone to move this mess
Soldier 1:
*puts finger on nose*
Soldier 6:
Yeah, uh...
Soldier 6:
I have a wounded guy to tend.
Soldier 8:
So, conductor, do we?
Soldier 8:
or anyway to alert them at all,
because id rather not remain stranded where soem guys just tried
to shoot us, who knows how many more there are
conducter:
This train has a reverse, but it's not
the best option. I think we might want to hold out here while we
clear the tracks. It's only a few logs
Brian:
I assume you do so?
Soldier 4:
LET'S START PUMPING IRON!
Soldier 3:
HELL YEAH! Let's do this!
Brian:
Alright, so a montoge happens, and you
lift the logs like the manly men you are and carry on your way.
Soldier 8:
well hen, lets get to work, first
though, some of us should check who these guys were
Brian:
I am suprised that that was so easy to
get through
Keenan:
yeah, we got lucky not counting the
first round
Brian:
Checking the bodies reveals that these
are randomly assembled townsfolk, and don't have anything on them
that resembles a clue
Brian:
they all come from a nearby town
Soldier 8:
well damn, wonder why they shot at us
conducter:
Well, at least they weren't accurate.
Thanks for saving my ass back there!
Brian:
Alright, now back to Hunter at HQ!
Brian:
adam, if you have other stuff to do,
this is where it ends for you.
Keenan is disconnected.
Boretos is disconnected.
You have disconnected.
Boretos has connected.
Christopher has connected.
Brian:
once we get Keenan
Keenan has connected.
Brian:
so Ekkhardt catches you up, and Septum
soon arrives along with an Ordos officer
Officer Septum:
Status report?
Keenan:
he catches me up thouh in the no scry
area right
Hunter:
We might want to enter the no scry
area sir, in order to make sure nothing is heard.
Officer Septum:
Should we bring back Constance first?
Hunter:
Yes, I meant during the status report.
Brian:
The officer goes into the room with
Constance in it, and does some magic, and sure enough she returns
to her old self. Chris, you remember nothing after being turned to
stone.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Wh...
Officer Constance Stendatem:
When did I end up in an interrogation
room?
Hunter:
Constance, i have soem bad news for
you, but first, we need to go into the no scry area before i can
say it, also, you were urned to stone
Ordos Officer:
Follow me, officer. We have work to do.
Brian:
you enter the paint-filled mess that
is now your saferoom
Keenan:
I guess then we just give a detailed
report on everyhting that has happened till now
Brian:
Constance, you are now filled up
Officer Septum:
Well, it seems that we have quite the
situation going on here, don't we?
Hunter:
We do indeed, though now that we can
make this portal, it sounds like we can potentially do recon
mission in the future with out the wreiph's daemon having any idea
Officer Septum:
Be sure that we aren't playing into
it's hands here.
Hunter:
Thats what i've been afraid of, but
how would we now that were not is the problem, if he can see us
even here, then truly no place or piece of information would be
safe from him anyway
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Hunter has a point.
Officer Septum:
Such is the plight of the officer. You
can never know what your enimy is capable of.
Officer Septum:
In other news, the liquid men have
been causing a bit of a problem. The masses are protesting, and
accusing the ordos of doing this as some sort of experiment.
Hunter:
Are the liquid people themselves doing
anything?
Ordos Officer:
It varies. They seem to have the
personalities of various figures across Macharian history. Some
are violent, others not so much, but many are attempting to
complete some agenda from when they were alive.
Ordos Officer:
Conflicts have been pretty common, but
no organized actions have been seen
Hunter:
So basically just acting like regular
people then for the most part
Brian:
Septum let's out a rare chuckle.
Ekkhardt actually seems suprised.
Hunter:
So, any plans for our next actions?
Officer Septum:
I think it's clear now that we have
two cases on our hands: the liquid men, and our new intel on God.
I am putting you two on that mission, while the rest of us keep
the dead from overrunning the Macharian empire.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Pursuing the intel on this demon, I
assume you mean.
Keenan is disconnected.
Keenan has connected.
Officer Septum:
We have a lead into how to take the
fight to it for the first time. Up until now, God has been very
careful not to give us any means of striking back. For now, your
objective will be getting information.
Officer Septum:
Where does God live? What can and
can't it do? Has anything changed about the Wreithor that we need
to know about? any weaknesses?
Officer Septum:
Whenever possible, pick low fruit, and
don't give away anything we know.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Acknowledged.
Keenan:
is there any magic that would allow us
to be able to identify where the locaiton is, or could i possibly
identify basde on the locaiton of the stars
Brian:
if you can find the starts
Keenan:
assuming its not a hemisphere away
Brian:
but no magic exists to pinpoint
location, unless you find somthing clever in the NMS
Keenan:
i suppose one possibility is that if
we can see outside at all, ekkhard could then make a portal there,
nd then our scienitists could study it at thier leisuure to
identify the location
Keenan:
I guess we'll also study the map we
found, in case we might need it as a way out
Officer Septum:
Will this serve as a base of
operations for you? Are there any additional resources you need?
Officer Septum:
I hate to strand you, but this is
pretty unprecidented.
Officer Constance Stendatem:
Not as of yet, but we may need more in
the future.
Officer Septum:
Well when I am in office, I am a
telegram away
Hunter:
Thanks
Officer Septum:
Alright, Ekkhardt, Reimein, come with
me. It's gonna take more than this to shake apart the nation of
man.
Brian:
they take their leave
Brian:
the ball is now in your court, folks
Keenan:
oh, so just me and constance
Keenan:
does onstance also know how to make
those portals, im guessing so
Brian:
yeah, Ekkhardt is staying
Hunter:
So, any ideas on our plan to get in
and out of there?
Officer Ekkhardt:
We only have one option in.
Hunter:
Yes, but i meant for preperations and
timing, like whether we should go in tonight, or maybe even right
now,a nd what we should bring
Officer Ekkhardt:
You know your homeland way better than
I do.
Keenan:
are you typing somehting chris?
Keenan:
sorry, looked liek you were, there was
that symbol saying you were
Keenan:
also, i forget, can you put
invisibility on me?, or only on yourseves
Brian:
invisibling others is pretty common
Hunter:
Since I am the most stealthy of us,
I'm thinking that i go in first, as a quick reconnaissance mission
while I am invisible from your magic, once i get a quick view,
I'll then signla for one of you to come as well, in order to creat
a new way out if the ortal is somehow closed, and to detect any
magical items and discoveries as note, then, once we decide we
cant learn more without disturbing whatever area were in, we go.
If were not careful and we disturb the area, he might relize we
were there, which would give away the advantage we have.
Hunter:
but damn, he might detect that i
suddenly entered his area?
Hunter:
It depends on the exact link he place
on my I suppose, but if its a quick mission, i suppose the paint
will protect me for a time, correct?
Officer Constance Stendatem:
I'm not sure if your being one of its
people makes you more or less likely to be spotted.
Keenan:
no, i meant the fact that he often
talks to me
Keenan:
you all know that
Officer Ekkhardt:
The spell it put on you has been
immune to any dispelling we have tried so far, so I just can't say
what will happen.
Officer Ekkhardt:
I will be honest; I still feel uneasy
having you inside HQ.
Hunter:
I understand why
Hunter:
I do know though that he cant always
scry on me, it has been prevented before
Hunter:
But i dont know whether the paint
method is fully effective
Officer Ekkhardt:
It's designed to be cheap, and
long-lasting. We just don't have the magic to do what the daemons
do to hide from each other.
Hunter:
How long should it last again?
Officer Ekkhardt:
It isn't a fixed duration. It becomes
easier to find you once it stops spraying, and if your pursuer
sees you the game's up.
Keenan is disconnected.
Brian:
alright, looks like this is our next
stopping point
Brian:
Albeit pretty much where we started.
Brian:
you feel good about doing this next
Friday?
Christopher:
next friday works pretty well, yeah.
still can't be here before about 2, but...
